🐎 FOR SALE — STREET 🐎
15-Year-Old Thoroughbred Stallion | 16+ HH | Approx. 1,300 lbs
Introducing Street, a truly outstanding Thoroughbred stallion with an impressive racing background, athletic ability, exceptional disposition, and a proven record as a sire.
Street came out of Ocala, Florida as a 3-year-old, where he held the track record for Thoroughbred sprinters. He is just over 16 HH and weighs approximately 1,300 lbs.
🏇 Proven Sire & Exceptional Disposition
For the past 12 years, Street has been crossed with our cow-horse bred mares. He has consistently added size and color, thanks to his dominant roan/rose-grey coloring, while maintaining the mares’ disposition and athletic ability in his offspring.
He has been both pasture bred and hand bred and is generally very easy to handle. He has proven to be excellent with mares and foals.
🤠 Riding & Temperament
Street had not been ridden in approximately 5 years when I saddled him, worked him briefly in the round pen, and got on. He walked off and went to work with no issues. The video was made the following day.
He is:
* Easy to catch
* Easy to bathe
* Easy to haul
* Easy to tie
* Good to handle
* Gentle and willing
* Comfortable around mares and foals
In the video, he is barefoot. We typically keep him barefoot unless he is being ridden regularly.
He had never been exposed to a flag or tarp before the video, and he handled the flag without hesitation. He also crossed water despite not having much previous experience with it.
🏆 Racing & Competition Experience
When Street was 6 years old, he was entered in a relay race where he ran the final leg of three horses.
The first horse ran 440 yards, tagged the next rider, who threw on her saddle and ran another 440 yards before tagging Street. The rider then threw her saddle on Street, mounted, and took him from the backside to the finish.
Street won the race easily.
Even with horses coming in, saddling, and mounting around him, he stood quietly and handled the entire experience exceptionally well.
❤️ One Note
Street does have an old wire-cut injury on his left front pastern, which resulted in some enlargement around the pastern. He has never been lame on it. Photos of the area are included at the end for full transparency.
Street is an outstanding individual with a proven performance background, great mind, athletic ability, and a history of producing beautiful, willing, easy-to-train babies.
He would be an amazing addition to the right breeding, ranch, or performance program.
