My 4 year old is sick. He has that croupy cough that unsettles parents everywhere. This afternoon he fell asleep in my arms after saying “I love snuggling you. “ I have older children and am wise enough to know this won’t last forever. Though they still need you, the honest, small sweetness of the littles goes away. So I am going to savor this. My last baby. Asleep in my arms. I love snuggling you, too, my child.

How I arrange our vitamins. I give my kids vitamins with iron (we are pescatarian), so it’s important that they’re in childproof containers. Weekly (well that’s the goal anyway) I load them up and then dump one every day at breakfast. We do a DHA gummy & a vitamin C gummy, so I make sure that teeth brushing always happens after they’re eaten.

Photo dump of some of my wild & strange succulents and their beautiful flowers. Plants always help me come back to present. When I’m examining a plant, admiring the miracle of its existence and the cleverness of nature, I am living in that moment.
What experience tethers you to the present moment?
