Another regular season weekend in the books for the Wildcats 📈

1️⃣ The D2 continued to build their lead in the standings out west with wins by wide margins against SJSU and Cal Poly. They also tacked on a hard fought shootout win against D1 opponent and in state rival GCU. Unfortunately they suffered their first loss of the regular season in a tightly contested matchup with CSU Fullerton. It took a shootout to finally put a halt to the Wildcats undefeated start to the season but they remain unbeaten in regulation well into the second semester.

2️⃣ The AA squad had an excellent weekend losing a tight matchup to D3 opponent Cal Poly Pomona before going on a 4 game win streak including wins over the CPP Affiliate team and D3 opponents UCSB and SJSU. They look to further improve and carry momentum into their next weekend.

FOR THE FIRST TIME 🚨

Your University of Arizona Wildcats, est. 2011, took down the ASU D1 Roller Hockey team for the first time in program history.

The D2 squad was perfect on the weekend. They defeated ASU in overtime by a score of 6-5, followed it with a 5-0 victory over GCU and then finished the weekend with a dramatic win over ASU. Following a 6-1 deficit they battled back and won the game in a shootout.

The AA squad proved to be a fiesty group despite the losing record on the weekend. They fought hard against D1 opponents GCU and ASU. They also managed to split a series with ASU’s AA squad today. They look primed to challenge for the conference title in the AA division this season.

Over the weekend the WCRHL hosted a youth clinic with the Corona Bulldogs Roller Hockey Club. We had a great time with the kids and hope to host many more events!

The 2023-24 WCRHL season has begun in Corona, CA. Both the D2 and AA teams were in action, with D2 winning all 3 of their games and AA going 2-2-0. Happy to be back ✌️

WCRHL has posted the 1st semester event schedule for the 2023-2024 season! Play will open in an all-teams event at Corona Inline on November 4-5, followed by dual events on November 18 at The Plex in San Jose, CA and Tucson Indoor Sports Center in Tucson, AZ.
