⚡ LIBERTY HIGH SCHOOL DUALS RECAP ⚡
Two days. Over 15 rounds of wrestling. Several teams from UT, NV, AZ, NM, and CA. Countless opportunities to learn, compete, and grow.
This weekend, the Mica Mountain Boys Wrestling team traveled to Phoenix to get plenty of mat time and put into place what they work on daily. Every match presented a new challenge, every round offered another opportunity to improve, and every athlete stepped onto the mat ready to compete.
While the wrestling was intense, what stood out most was the way these young men supported one another. From coaching each other between matches, to cheering from the corner, to celebrating victories and overcoming setbacks together, they continued building the culture that makes our program special.
Summer wrestling isn't about trophies. It's about gaining experience, developing confidence, building relationships, and laying the foundation for the season ahead.
We left Phoenix with more mat time, more lessons learned, and stronger bonds than when we arrived.
The work continues.
⚡ One Team.
⚡ One Family.
⚡ One Standard.
The matches will be forgotten. The lessons will remain. The friendships will last forever. That's what this weekend was really about.

💙🤼♂️ 🤼🏻♀️Every great tradition starts somewhere. 🤼♂️🤼🏼♀️💙
At Vail Wrestling Academy, our athletes aren't just joining a program; they're joining a family. They're helping build it. The friendships they form, the work ethic they develop, and the culture they create today will become the foundation for future generations of Vail wrestlers.
The 2026-2027 season marks the seventh year of wrestling at Mica Mountain High School. What began with a small group of athletes in 2020 has grown into a program built on grit, resilience, character, and family. While our story is still being written, every athlete who joins today has the opportunity to help shape the next chapter.
Join the tradition. Be the difference.
We're developing more than wrestlers. We're helping young athletes build confidence, discipline, resilience, leadership, and character. Through every practice, challenge, and victory, they learn to work hard, overcome adversity, support their teammates, and believe in themselves.

Today we competed at Girls Sectionals with one goal—to punch tickets to State. The girls showed nothing but heart, grit, and hard work. There were tough losses and valuable lessons learned, but I couldn’t be prouder of each of them. It was a long, hard day, and while we battled from 2nd plac as a team to finishing 4th as a team, the fight never stopped.
We’re excited to have two girls punch their tickets to State and represent what we stand for. The grind doesn’t stop for those who didn’t place—off-season work begins now as we continue to build and prepare our teammates for State.
Congratulations to Laila Beltran, a 2x Sectionals Champion, State-bound for another year in a row and Avery Trujillo, who is State-bound for the second year in a row. So proud of each and every one of our Lady Bolts! ⚡️🤼♀️💪🏽

Every one of our athletes battled hard, wrestled with heart, and showed grit and determination. We couldn’t be more proud of the effort and toughness shown on the mat by all of our wrestlers 💪

This weekend showed the true heart of our Bolts! The unwavering support through the highs, the lows, the way they build each other up, and the energy they bring matside. For two straight days, they put individual wins and losses aside to cheer, hype, and stand behind their teammates. That kind of unity and selflessness is something special... and incredible to witness.
Now we lock in and build our thunder, one grind at a time, for Sectionals. ⚡️💙🔥🤼♂️🤼♀️
