The Eyrie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

2025 was a great year for The Eyrie!
We accomplished many of the goals we put on paper and took the competition scene by storm.

One of our goals was to continue to be one of the premier teams in all of AZ. The tournaments are where we cut our teeth, test new strategies and techniques, against the very tough teams in AZ.

We are so proud to be in the Top 10 Rankings again for all of AZ, from one of the most prestigious and longest running tournaments in the US, where we brought home:

Ranked #1 Kids Gi Academy 2025
Ranked #1 Kids No-Gi Academy 2025
Ranked #2 Adults Gi Academy 2025
Ranked # 3 Association (Paragon BJJ) 2025

We're just a small team, from a small city, with home-grown coaches and athletes, taking on the world, and we love it.

Proud of all the coaches on the team, athletes and especially the parents that help make this happen.

The Homeschool Competition Team had a challenging assignment this week. I tasked them with creating posters for their 2026 Jiu-Jitsu goals, and these young athletes rose to the occasion! I emphasized the importance of setting specific objectives rather than vague aspirations.

Now, they'll display these posters in their rooms to track their progress throughout the year. I'm thrilled to see their dedication and anticipation for their achievements is high.

The Eyrie Jiu-Jitsu is hosting another Kid's Community Open Mat for ALL local gyms and associations!

Bring your athlete in to get some rounds in with some of Tucson's most talented Youth Jiu-Jitsu athletes, have fun, and make new friends 🧡

There will be eegees for the kiddos, coffee and bagels for the parents!

A BIG weekend for The Eyrie MMA crew (TUCSON TOP TEAM) at the Rise of the Prospect show at the Rialto Theater this Saturday.

We had 3 fighters represent and came home with 2 Wins and 1 Draw.

All props goes to the Head Coach for our young MMA program, for creating absolute savages and putting The Eyrie on the map for its up and coming MMA Team!

Our annual Eyrie Team Halloween Party was a huge success!!!

We probably had over 200 people at this year's party! We had so much fun, dancing, laughing and having a good time with family and friends!

This is my favorite time of year, so we go all out. From the jumping castle, to the delicious food and food truck from , the yummy baked goods, and all the parents that set up their cars for the Trunk or Treat.

This definitely would not be possible without all the parents, and volunteers, that took time out of their day to help decorate, prep, serve the food, and to everyone who donated and passed out all the candy. You guys are such a huge part of the team, and I couldn't ask for anything more. You guys are why this team is so amazing 👏🏽

With only 3 kiddos representing The Eyrie at Grappling Industries today against teams that brought more athletes, the Winkler Crew cleaned house and not only brought home Gold Medals, but also the overall # 1 Team Trophy for The Eyrie!!!
