Last night’s competition practice was another reminder of what makes this team special.

We got 1% better.

Not because every round was perfect.
Not because every technique worked.

We got better because we challenged each other to stop settling for “good job.”

Sometimes those two words become a finish line. They make us believe we’ve arrived.

At Daimyo, we believe there’s always another level.

That doesn’t mean we ignore progress—it means we celebrate it while continuing to ask, “How can I do this even better?”

Growth lives just outside our comfort zone. That’s where confidence is built. That’s where champions are made.

The key is having a room full of people who will push you when you’re capable of more, pick you up when you fall short, and celebrate your victories without letting you become comfortable.

That’s culture.

And culture isn’t something you write on a wall. It’s something you build every single day, one practice, one teammate, and one conversation at a time.

As our academy continues to grow, we’d like to remind everyone of our Open Mat policy.
Our Open Mats are open to:
• Active Daimyo Academy members.
• Visitors who have an active membership at another academy.
•If you are not an active member at any academy our drop in fee will apply
This policy helps us maintain a safe training environment, protect the culture of our academy, and ensure fairness to the students who actively support our team, and the academy they belong to

To attend our Open Mats, you must have an active membership at any academy.

For our Daimyo students:

* Blue belts and above are encouraged to attend the Advanced Class.
* The Youth Level 3 class is invitation only. Only students who have been invited may attend.
