FRIDAY NIGHTS AT TOROTECH MMA — NEW DROP-IN POLICY

For over a decade, we’ve worked to provide Tucson’s combat sports community with a clean, professional place to train, learn, spar, and get quality rounds.

As we move into our next chapter, we’re making a few changes.

Effective October 1, 2026:

Sparring: $20 drop-in for non-members
BJJ Open Mat: Remains FREE for members of the Jiu-Jitsu community and visiting associations
General visitors/non-community: $20 drop-in

For those who want consistent access without a full gym membership, we now offer an Open Mat/Sparring Membership for $35/month.

Our 6:30 PM Wrestling & Judo community classes remain FREE.

These changes help us continue maintaining our facility, supporting our programs and coaches, and protecting the quality of the training environment our members and visitors expect.

We appreciate everyone who has walked through our doors, shared our mats, supported our events, and helped build this community over the last decade.

We’re excited about where Torotech MMA is headed next.

☀️🏆 That’s a wrap on our Summer Girls Wrestling Development Program!

We closed out the summer the best way we know how—putting in work on the mat, playing warm-up games, getting live rounds in, then celebrating with a glow-in-the-dark brunch! 🌟🤼‍♀️🧇

Huge shoutout to our athletes for making it special:
🌯 Zoe made incredible homemade chorizo con papas & eggs breakfast burritos.
🍰 Gabby brought homemade meringues that disappeared fast!

This summer was about so much more than wrestling. We introduced new girls to the sport, welcomed athletes from different schools, built friendships, stayed active, and sharpened our skills before the season begins. Watching these young women encourage one another and grow together has been the best part of the summer.

Thank you to every athlete, parent, and coach who made this program such a success. We can’t wait to see what this season brings!

Now it’s time to get back to club training! 💪

Added two stripes to her brown belt Brittney Fernandez is at 6months postpartum with her second baby. She returned to the mats in March barely after 8 weeks post. She had to reteach her body a lot of things. She never gives up. She is relentless in her pursuit of greatness and such a great example to Gio
She brings the baby to class and I’ll hold him so she can train. She’s such a great partner for Nicky Sciortino and still beats up the boys

A huge thank you to Kyle Boehm for coming out to 10th Planet Tucson and sharing an incredible Leg Lock Seminar with our team.

Kyle broke down his 6-step leg lock system, making the mechanics of reverse ashi, standing entries, and maintaining control of both legs easy to understand and apply. Every detail had a purpose, and every sequence built on the last.

He wrapped up the two-hour seminar with a Q&A, taking the time to answer everyone’s questions and troubleshoot positions specific to their own games. As a bonus, he even reviewed his rear naked choke hand-fighting finish system from his last visit—something our students were excited to revisit.

If you’re a coach or academy owner looking to bring in a seminar that is technical, organized, and immediately applicable, I can’t recommend Kyle enough. His teaching style is outstanding, and he genuinely invests in the people on the mat.

10/10 recommendation.
