Sergio Vega delivered one of the greatest freshman seasons in NCAA wrestling history. The Oklahoma State standout went a perfect 24–0, captured the 2026 NCAA title at 141 pounds, and became the first true freshman since 1947 to finish an undefeated season with a national championship. Even more remarkably, Vega completed his historic campaign without surrendering a single takedown, announcing himself as one of wrestling's brightest young stars.
