A winning mindset. Just do the work. Don’t over think it. Don’t make it complicated. Just do the work.
“Just do the training”.
This is the mindset I’ve picked up from how approaches training. He doesn’t overthink it, he doesn’t care if he does the same route 2 min slower this time than last time. He focuses on just completing the workout, stacking another brick. And then trusts himself to do something special on race day.
I’m not usually zen in my approach 😏 but it’s a mindset I’ve tried to adopt as I begin this training cycle. I mean, when in doubt, WWKD? (What would Kipchoge do).
I’m almost at full marathon training mileage, and thankful my knee is handling it well. In that phase where my body is still adapting to the volume, so staying on top of recovery with Pure Series protein- no artificial flavors, colors or sweeteners 👌🏽.
Excited to keep building!

**Introducing IRONMAN in Australia Hall of Fame Inductee #19 – CRAIG ALEXANDER**
Join us to celebrate and recognise Craig at the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony in Port Macquarie on Friday 29 April at 1:30pm at the Town Green.
Craig Alexander’s achievements in the world of IRONMAN are outstanding and worthy of a place in the IRONMAN in Australia Hall of Fame. The Sydney-based athlete has won the IRONMAN World Championship on three occasions, in 2008, 2009 and 2011, and the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship in 2006 and 2011.
Craig took part in his first triathlon at the age of 20 in 1993, having had his first taste of the sport through the broadcast of the IRONMAN World Championship. After Greg Welch won the IRONMAN World Championship in 1994 he was inspired to take the sport more seriously, contesting his first triathlon as a professional in 1995, finishing eighth at the ITU World Cup in Sydney. Craig raced his first IRONMAN 70.3 in 1997, graduating from University in the same year. A turning point in Craig’s career came in 2002, where illness kept him out of the Australian Commonwealth Games team, so he headed to the United States, racing predominantly there for the next decade.
In 2006 Craig won the inaugural IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship, making his IRONMAN World Championship a year later where he finished second, going on to win the event in 2008 and 2009, becoming just the fourth male to defend the title. In 2011 he became the first person to win both the IRONMAN and IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships in the same year.
