As the countdown to Borderlands Gravel continues, we wanted to share a couple of quick updates.

First, motel rooms are limited. Check our website for links to additional places to stay, including Airbnb and RV/camping options.

Racers can use the showers at the Aquatic Center on Saturday, November 14, from 1- 4 p.m. for $5.

After a long day grinding through the Arizona borderlands, your legs might appreciate a little TLC.

Join us for a casual, post-race Yoga in the Park session with Sara from Batch of Sky Yoga at Castro Park in Douglas.

Nothing fancy. No mats. No props. No pressure.

Just easy, gentle stretching, mindful movement, and a chance to slow down after a big day on the bike.

Racers, friends, family, and the Douglas community are all welcome!

One of the questions surrounding the event for me was this: why does an event like BorderLands Gravel matter?

Along with that, other questions pop up. What impact does a gravel race in Douglas have? What value or benefit does it bring to the community?

Also, why did racers travel, in some cases, great distances to ride and race this stretch of desert gravel roads along the border?

A gravel race along the Arizona-Mexico border is introducing riders to Douglas, where history, hospitality, and the Geronimo Trail meet.

You don’t need a gravel bike to be part of BorderLands Gravel!

This year, we’re excited to expand the festivities in Douglas with the BorderLands Gravel Walk/Run!

While cyclists are out tackling the gravel roads of the borderlands, runners and walkers can get in on the action with a 3.5 KM run/walk through Douglas.

We’re thrilled to partner again with the Arizona Border Alliance and Douglas Run Club to create another opportunity for the local community, friends, and families to be part of race day.

Here’s what you need to know:

When: Saturday, November 14, 2026
Where: Castro Park (10th Street), Douglas
Distance: 3.5 KM
Warm-up: 8:45 AM
Start: 9:00 AM
