When shipping a propeller governor, try to double bag them with zip lock bags and add an old rag or paper towels inside the bags with the governor to absorb the oil.
This will help avoid shipping delays and possible return to sender.

The Cessna 206 pilot was complaining of loss of power during take-off and rpm fluctuations. The mechanic brought the governor into to Warner Propeller for a bench test. After some basic research, we realized this governor was effected by AD 2020-19-06. When we got it apart, the idler gear bearing was about ready to fail. This is not a one-off event. We have had others in the shop like this. Please be aware that there are still a number of governors out there that have not yet complied with AD 2020-19-06. www.warnerpropeller.com
