Latest Update From Kyle Hough:
FREE. MAN. After 15 days I get to go home. What a journey this has been and it’s not going to get any easier. Long road of recovery and rehab coming up but we’re going to get through it. I can’t thank my wonderful girlfriend Krista Suydam enough for everything she has done and everything she continues to do day in and day out. I wouldn’t be where I am without her. Can’t thank my parents enough either for coming by every day and checking on me and making sure I was fed. Thank you to everyone who has reached out, visited, donated, and prayed for my recovery. Krista and I are truly blessed to have such an amazing racing family. Hope to see everyone at the races soon!

An Update From Kyle Hough!
It has been a hectic, emotional, and trying 9+ days. But!!!! 3rd and final surgery has been completed on this beautiful Sunday afternoon. It’s been a rollercoaster as we were scheduled to have surgery on Thursday, then pushed to Friday, then Saturday. Finally by the grace of God, surgery happened today at 10 am. It was a very lengthy and extensive surgery from what was explained. Nerve, ligament and muscle damage was severe and required a lot of repairs and attention. But we’re back. It’s a long road of recovery with lots of follow up visits and physical therapy. It’ll take me 6-8 months to get back to 100% but every day we will get closer.
I can’t thank everyone enough for their continued support, prayers and thoughts. I’m sorry I haven’t been able to reach back out to everyone, but your messages have not gone unnoticed.
I can’t thank my family, mom and dad, for sitting here multiple hours a day and playing the waiting game with me.
Lastly, certainly not least, Krista Suydam has been my angel. She has stayed by my side through all the ups and downs of this emotions rollercoaster. I’ll never know what I did to deserve her, but she’s definitely my biggest blessing. To my future wife, thank you so much for never leaving my side. And thank you for taking care of me every day. From walking with me, to showering me, to helping me use the bathroom, and changing my bandages on my legs. I love you more than you’ll ever know ❤️ I don’t know how I’ll ever repay you. Thank you baby.
As far as recovery. Doctors say it will be a minimum 5-6 days left in this wonderful Tucson facility before they can release me. With that being said, I can’t thank everyone who has come to visit me enough for stopping by, at this time I ask that we keep the visitations to a zero. I would like to take this week to focus on my recovery process so I can get back home. Thank you to everyone for their continued thoughts and prayers. We will be back!

Most claims don't happen on the track.
They happen while loading, unloading, traveling, or sitting in the staging lanes.
Make sure your coverage reflects that.

An Update From Kyle Hough…⬇️
A little update today…
Surgery number 2 happened mid day yesterday. For those who don’t know or don’t understand, there are no broken bones at all. The surgery is to repair chunks on my lower left leg that are missing from grinding on the guardrail. Surgery number 2 consisted of more cleaning and investigating so a game plan could be put in place for repair. There is a little nerve damage and ligament damage that needs repair but no bone damage to the knee or shin. Thursday will be surgery number 3 to work on repairing the nerves and ligaments and hopefully close the wound for the final time. If not there will be a 4th surgery some time next week. But we will know more after Thursday. I can’t thank my girlfriend and best friend Krista Suydam enough for staying by my side through the whole process. Thank to my crew who’ve become family for stopping by, David Lee, Craig and Cara, John Landry and my boss John Aleman. To my visitors who’ve stopped by Jimmy Kelso, Jim Black and Jim Moody, can’t thank you enough for coming to visit and spending time with me. You guys are family. Mom and dad for sticking around every day and never leaving my side throughout the day.
Lastly, I want to reiterate that while yes I’m recovering physically and emotionally, my friend, my boss, my owner John Aleman is also recovering. I have totaled his racecar and he is recovering emotionally and physically as well. Please be kind to all while we navigate through this process. Thank you to everyone for your continued thoughts, prayers and support. We will be back.
