A Bit More Of The Map Gets Colored In
There’s nothing I love more than coloring in more of the map of Arizona. Although I’ve lived here all my life there’s still places I haven’t been, canyons I haven’t explored, mountains I haven’t crested.
This past weekend we did our advanced camp out up in north eastern Arizona. It truly was the Alps of Arizona, the town of Alpine, Arizona’s catch phrase. From amazing forests, high altitudes, incredible wildlife, petroglyphs, great company, awesome roads and so much water. Ten out of ten would recommend the El Lobo South loop to anyone.

Postride Glow
I'm still feeling all aglow about a great long weekend bikepacking in the White Mountains. We lucked out with the weather after two weeks of rainy days up there. We had a great group of riders, saw some incredible wildlife (2 bighorns, a herd of Elk and plenty of deer) and rode an incredible route through amazing peaks and valleys and past lovely rivers. This was a great one and we will return!

Trail Angel Tim
I wanted to do an appreciation post for my friend Tim. If you’ve been on one of our trips you might have met him already. I first met time about 4 1/2 years ago when he came on one of our trips. He was a pleasure to ride with and made lots of friends on that trip. Since then Tim has come on some more trips- but he’s also served a way radder role. A few years ago we were doing the Sky Islands East route, it looked like a beautiful trip, very slight chance of rain.
Tim was traveling through and parked his sprinter in our future campsite to hang out with us when we arrived. The slight chance turned into a olid deluge, everyone got soaked, the trail turned into death mud. The last section was a slog in the worst way. We rolled into camp, Tim had heaters going and lines strung to dry people’s clothes, there was hot pizza brought in from nearby Patagonia, and there was b**r and soda to quench our thirst. I really want to give Tim some love since he’s given
If you see Tim give him a high five and tell him how awesome he is!
