The best mechanism for changing that is strength training. Not jumping rope, not bouncing, not bounding. Lift heavy weight consistently, add muscle and get stronger.

Women with PCOS, endometriosis or type 2 diabetes need heavy resistance training more than anyone else! Increasing lean muscle increases receptors for insulin reducing insulin resistance. Reduced insulin resistance means less pain and discomfort from PCOS and endometriosis.
Additionally, the stress of increasing muscle mass also increases bone density which reduces the chances of osteopenia/osteoporosis later in life.

Whatever your goal is it must create enough stress to cause an adaptation. If you're not working hard enough, you won't reach your goal. The other side of the equation is rest. You need to have enough time between training sessions to allow recovery.

1936, Hans Selye gives us the General Adaptation Syndrome. This means that your training needs to be a great enough stimulus to create the desired adaptation. That stress must also happen consistently over a six to eight week period.
So if you are not giving Max effort with your lifting, either for hypertrophy, strength or endurance, then you are not getting the most from your workouts.
