"Capoeira Mandinga Tucson and nonprofit Capoeira Institute Southwest partner to bring traditional Afro-Brazilian capoeira, music, and dance to diverse Tucson and global communities. Anne Pollack (Mestra Luar do Sertão) is our group’s founder, director, and tireless leader. She has practiced Afro-Brazilian arts for over 36 years, training with Brazilian capoeira masters both in the US and during multiple travels to Brazil. In 1996, after 10 years of capoeira experience, she began teaching capoeira and Afro-Brazilian arts in Tucson and created grupo Capoeira Mandinga Tucson. Today, she the only master of Capoeira and Afro-Brazilian arts in the state of Arizona.
"The experience of Afro-Brazilian arts touches the hearts and brings together diverse people. Our 2022 performance group is comprised of students, ages 6 through over 50 years, from a broad spectrum of Tucson and surrounding area schools and communities, who are joined through our love of Afro-Brazilian arts. Through our classes and performances of Afro-Brazilian arts, we look forward to continuing to build and expand cross-cultural connections between youth and families from diverse backgrounds."

We've attended 2 classes at Soul Capoeira in Adelaide - a small, sweet group of committed capoeiristas. Most people have not heard of capoeira in Australia so we're doing our best to spread the word. Tucson's Capoeira community - Please help find this Tucson capoeirista! Hi everyone,
A member of our Tucson capoeira community has gone missing. He hasn’t been heard from for over a month. His sister and brother-in-law, Kinslee and Casey Radermacher, have reached out to me today to ask for help.
Let’s put this season of giving to work to help find him.

My name is Casey Radermacher (480.516.5888) and my wife is Kinslee Radermacher (Hancock).
We are looking for my wife's brother, Nathanael (Nathan) Hancock (520.476.7777).
He is 5'9" approximately 220 pounds. Medium length shaggy brown hair. Blue eyes. Kinda southwestern hippy type dress. Bandanna around neck a lot, prescription glasses that are transitional lenses so go darker when outside. He is a massage therapist and drives a burnt orange Hyundai Accent hatchback vehicle with a sea turtle/ocean mural on the rear of the car. Hasn't been seen or heard from in a month. Very unusual for him. His phone voicemail always had his personal greeting on it and it is now a generic recording. Tucson PD and Pima County Sheriff's Department have both also been notified and ATL's (Attempt To Locate) have been dispatched. ANY information, please reach out.....thank you. We are including some photos of his car and the most recent pic (about 3 months ago) we have of him. This is him with my wife (his sister). He has cut his hair since so it is no longer long like in the pic.
