This month, our Colorectal Cancer Spotlight Series features Joe Catarineau, a stage 3B colorectal cancer survivor who is now five years with no evidence of disease. He lives in the Florida Keys with his wife of 30 years, Missy, and their three daughters. ✨
 
Joe promised a friend with colorectal cancer that he would get screened at age 45. He had no symptoms, was in great shape, and had no family history, but he followed through to honor his friend’s legacy. Now, it’s his mission to encourage others to get screened at 45, carrying forward the message that once inspired him.

To close out Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, our final Colorectal Cancer Spotlight Series this month recognizes the 470+ patients, survivors, advocates, and caregivers who joined us in Tucson for the Cologuard Classic. 👏
 
We continue to be in awe of your resilience, community spirit, and fierce commitment to ending this disease. You are what makes this event so special. Thank you for showing up, for raising your voices, and for fighting this fight. We hope to see you (and many more) next year. 💙

This week, our Colorectal Cancer Spotlight Series features Wendi Hawkins, a devoted caregiver to her late husband, Todd. Through our Pairings with a Pro program, 2026 Cologuard Classic champion Steven Alker played in Todd’s memory last weekend. ✨

Todd was diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer at age 49 and passed away just 16 months later, two weeks shy of his 51st birthday. He spoke openly about his journey and was deeply moved to learn that others pursued screening after hearing his story.

Today, Wendi and her daughters, Delaney and Madison, honor his legacy by continuing to share his story in the hope of encouraging others to get screened. 💙

What an ending to the weekend! We’re still reminiscing on our final day of play. Congrats to Steven Alker on being crowned our back-to-back champion of the 2026 Cologuard Classic!
