A huge THANK YOU to all of the amazing vendors who joined us for Buckin in the Basin! Your food, merchandise, creativity, and friendly faces added so much to the experience.

We are also incredibly grateful to our wonderful hosts at Tularosa Distillery, Tumbleweed Lounge, and Desert Spoon. Thank you for believing in our vision, welcoming our community, and helping make this event possible.

We couldn’t have asked for a better group to ride this Buckin trail with. We appreciate each and every one of you!

Congratulations to our bull riding champion, David Sanchez!

David was the top cowboy to cover his bull for the full 8 seconds, earning $2,160, a custom-made pair of spurs from Sheridan’s Cowboy Gear, and an additional $500 bonus from Sheridan and Whitney Hileman.

That brought David’s total winnings to $2,660!

Congratulations, David!

Congratulations to our ranch bronc riding champion, Blaine Alexander!

Blaine was the only cowboy to cover his bronc for the full 8 seconds, earning himself a pile of cash and a custom-made championship buckle from Sheridan’s Cowboy Gear!

A huge thank-you to Sheridan and Whitney Hileman for also contributing an additional $500 bonus to our event winner.

What makes this victory even more special? This was Blaine’s very first ranch bronc riding competition! A talented young local cowboy (just 14 years old) earned his first win right here in his hometown—and we couldn’t be more proud!

Congratulations, Blaine! What a ride and what a way to start!
