Tullahoma Parks and Recreation Athletics

Adult Baseball is the fastest growing program in Tullahoma with 7 teams participating in the 18+ league, adding over 40 players in 2 years. Games are played on Monday and Thursday nights during the summer at Grider Stadium, beginning the first Monday or Thursday following the 4th of July. The team registration fee for Adult Baseball is $850 which covers officials, balls, and a 10 game season and tournament. Teams must have at least 12 players on roster for the season. Free agents may register but are not guaranteed a team. Tullahoma Adult Baseball has a player-ran page (Tullahoma Men’s Baseball League) where you can inquire about joining a team. In 2019, LightTube filmed the championship game for Adult Baseball with live commentary from Tullahoma Parks and Recreation staff. Introducing our first ever eSports event, Fortnite! 32 teams competed in our first ever eSports tournament at D.W. Wilson with handmade Fortnite Llama trophies and gift cards for our winners. This was the first of 2 Fortnite related events. Parks and Recreation services from several states have contacted us regarding this event.

With the first Fortnite event being a Duo’s Tournament, event number 2 was for Solo Competitors! The event weeded out the best of the best in Tullahoma and surrounding cities. Each competitor received a custom made shirt with personalized Gamertags on the back.

We are always working hard to bring new and exciting events to Tullahoma, this time being lacrosse. MTSU’s Lacrosse team made the trip to Johnson Lane to meet with some local youth to teach them skills and drills they can use to play a new sport. Lou Corsetti from U.S. Lacrosse led the event and donated some practice lacrosse balls and sticks.

Following our youth basketball season, Tullahoma Parks and Recreation offered a bus trip for 2 games of the SEC Men’s Basketball Tournament in Nashville at Bridgestone Arena. Playing that night was Georgia, Missouri, Vanderbilt, and Texas A&M.

Each year on the first weekend in May, Tullahoma Parks and Recreation hosts the annual Soap Box Derby. Parents and children assemble their vehicles the week before and race down W. Lincoln Street. In 2018, the event fell on Star Wars Day, and we had a Star Wars movie prop on site for families to take pictures together.

There are several Athletics related programs that we offer at Tullahoma Parks and Recreation, and we hope this page will help organize all of our programs into one place, making it easier on our community members to get involved.
