Congratulations to these 4 players! What an incredible year and I'm so proud to be these guys coach.

Not how we wanted to end it. But we absolutely smashed the ball this game. Hats off to KC, they made incredible plays that kept us off the scoreboard. That's baseball. Finished 2nd and what a great weekend. The boys played great. Coach and I challenged them last week and they answered the bell this weekend. 1 more weekend to go until this summer is over. 5 and 2 on the weekend. Let's finish strong.

These boys came out and played with a purpose! Took the first 2 to earn the opportunity to play in the championship at wichita state. Game will be live streamed on our GC. Let's go finish Tigers!

Came out a bit flat this morning at the plate in game 1. Lost in the last inning. That loss forced them to win game 2 in order to make bracket tomorrow. They absolutely raked and the defense put in work. Not walking players is critical. We made top 8 but waiting on seeding. Keep playing good ball boys!

Bots played good baseball today. A few walks allowed the canes to make the game closer than it was but we kept the pressure on them hitting. 2nd game against the rangers was a fantastic back and forth game between 2 really solid teams. Boys walked it off in the bottom of the 7th after losing the lead they had all game in the top with 2 outs. Keep grinding and let's get 2 tomorrow.

Boys went 2 and 2 this weekend. They made top bracket and lost a heartbreaker in the final inning in the quarterfinals. Today walks and hit batters cost us after a 6-6 tie. We out-hit every opponent and greatly reduced our errors over the weekend winning that battle.

Players of the Weekend:

Pitcher of the weekend: Mason Dowling. Beat a 16u team striking out 5 over 4 innings on 86 pitches. Surrendering 1 Earned Run on 2 Hits.

Hitter of the Weekend: Riley Rosser. Had a team leading 6 hits with a double. Knocked in 3 runs as well. Stole 5 bases and scored 3 runs with 7 total bases.

Defensive PotW: Gavin Campbell. Played 2B, SS and Catcher this weekend showing his versatility all weekend. He had 6 PO, one of those starting the 6-4-3 double play to seal the game, with zero errors and no pass balls behind the dish.

Tigers in Action!

Boys played great baseball today. Down early in both games to win them in the final inning. Walked it off in the last game on a wild pitch and my guy from 2nd caught them napping to score as well for the game winner. Pressure kills. Keep it up. Made top bracket to go compete to win it all.

We didn't play where we signed up but was able to get to Connors again this weekend. Boys played really well overall. They went 3 and 2 and lost out in the 1 vs 2 game Sunday. Overall we scored 16 runs while holding opponents to 13. Collected 32 hits while just missing a couple tanks. We cut our errors in half which is a good start. Not quite where we want to be total wise but much better. Our pitchers overall absolutely dealt this weekend only surrendering 4 earned runs overall.

Offensive player of the weekend is Truxton Marsh. He collected 4 hits and 2 walks. Scored 4 runs while driving in 2 runs. He put a ton of pressure on the defense with 7 stolen bases.

Defensive player of the weekend is James Brasuell. Made no errors on 10 chances while reading every hop perfectly. And converting on a couple double play chances.

Pitcher of the weekend is Micah Schwing. Pitched another CG with 8ks, 2 walks and only surrendering 2 runs on 89 pitches..

Great job boys. Next Joplin playing some big boys at the 16u level.

Gavin came in relief and gave his offense a chance to put away Walkoff in the last inning. He earned PoG. Tigers went 2 and 2 this weekend. Had some great moments. Had some tough ones. They put up some good offensive numbers. Just need to buckle down defensively. Connors state tourney coming up this week.
