NOAH’s Varsity Rallies for Dramatic Comeback Win Against Broncos

The Jaguars were victorious at Bales Park Tuesday, taking a 6-5 walkoff victory over the OKC Broncos. The Jaguars’ fall squad was down 5-4 in the bottom of the seventh inning when leadoff man Ethan Wilke walked and catcher Isaac Call delivered a game-winning home run to center field.
Call started on the mound for NOAH, throwing two complete innings and surrendering no runs on no hits, fanning three Broncos.
With Luke Wagner in relief in the third inning, the Broncos plated the first run of the game with a sacrifice fly following a single and a hit batsmen.
OKC would add another to their lead in the fourth, with a solo home run to right field.
The Jaguars answered with a run of their own in the bottom half of the fourth — as Brennen Cseh drew a walk, Luke Winn doubled to left, and Simon Laur singled to left, making the score 2-1 Broncos.
With Graem Hobbs taking the bump for NOAH in the fifth, the Broncos increased their lead to 4-1 after a hit batsmen, a set of errors, and a single.
NOAH found themselves trailing 5-1 in the sixth, after reliever Finn Schmitz surrendered a solo shot to center field.
NOAH would storm back in the bottom of the sixth, thanks to a three-run homer from Wagner after a Cseh single and a Laur walk.
With the Jaguars trailing 5-4, senior Will Jameson took the mound in the seventh and hurled a scoreless frame — setting the stage for Call’s no-doubter in the bottom half to take the win.
NOAH tallied nine hits in the game. Wagner led the team in RBIs with three, and Laur led the team in hits with two. Wilke, Call, Cseh, Winn, Wagner, Hobbs, and Judson Stewart each collected one hit.
NOAH’s fall Varsity and JV squads will travel to OKC next Tuesday to face the Broncos.
