Carbs get a bad rap. They are actually important for providing energy. It’s all about eating the right carbs. Don’t avoid carbs. Make sure and stay away from carbs that have a lot of added sugar. Things like fruit, with natural sugar, are much better for you. Focus on whole grain, whole wheat, oats, potatoes, and rice. Obviously, this isn’t an exhaustive list, but make sure you do your research on what carbs are good for you.

If you add a lot of weight and don’t have the form down, you risk injury and learning bad mechanics. As you get the form down, you can start adding more weight.
