Well, we did it! Not sure how we managed, but we finished the first week of the Death March at Oklahoma Summer Classic and it was quite the doozy!
It’s never easy when you lose a Judge from a Judging Panel and then you throw in one more, midway through the weekend, it really puts the rest of the show in a tailspin. But as always, Onofrio came through while wheeling and dealing what they could to ensure that our long days didn’t go into and become really long nights. Big Kudos to Onofrio, thank you!
Outside of that juggling, and two different nights where both the Toy Group and Terrier Group were judged until our eyes rolled back into our heads, it was quite the successful weekend! 😂
Time and time again, especially this weekend in OKC for the past few years, there have been photographers who have come and gone and I’m thrilled to share that I’m *still* the ONLY one that I know of that posts photos SAME DAY. There’s no wait for Albums to be released and from my calculations, I believe I got to EVERY request made which were MANY! While there’s many choices, there’s still only one you can count on time and time again…me! Lol
Headed home for a few of days before I head back out to the second week of the Death March in Dallas, Texas. I realize it sounds crazy to be going home for such a quick turnaround, but it’s to save my sanity and maybe get a bite to eat and recharge. WOW! What a great weekend for a field trial. We would like to thank all of our gracious and helpful exhibitors. Your participation in our event makes it truly special. See our posted results. Please note that there is an extra placement in Open Limited Gun Dog. Janos was awarded an Award of Merit.
I would personally like to thank our club members and volunteers: Jeanie Harris, Roger Byers, Janet Donnelly, Larry & Sandy Sims, Jana Davis, and Hugh Holly. We could not have pulled off this event without you.
