Fishing with Rip Van Winkle

Grandma gave a bag of lures from grandpa she had found tucked away. Some of the "new" lures he had stashed away still had okiebug price stickers on them. Made me smile. Who else remembers Okiebug being thier favorite place to go in Tulsa?

Dropped by low water dam for a little while after work today. Caught a few small ones till it got dark. Everything was biting on crappie jigs bouncing on the bottom.

Enjoyed some of the wonderful weather this evening at Liberty trail pond. Water here is clear as always, lots of smaller sunfsh moving around we even spotted a few gar and plenty of turtles. There were even a few mushrooms by the trail just not sure what kind they are.

Merry Christmas! Thanks to everyone who follows along and encourages my outdoor fun, I appreciate all of you. Hope everyone is having a blessed Christmas season and catching all the fish they wanted all year.

Off work at 5:15 and still managed to get a little evening topwater action and be home by 6:20 to take the kiddo to church! The weather is amazing out this evening do yourself a favor and get out there to enjoy it. Garden ridge pond, if you were going borth on 169 or east on 51 you may have seen me out there enjoying myself.

Caught the last of todays light at Liberty trail pond. I got a few missed hits and saw a beaver getting busy with his building project.
I know there are some fish in this pond but the weeds are so overgrown it is difficult to reach them. Beautiful evening to be out and about.

Went for a little hike with the family down mingo creek trail and had to stop for a little fishing this evening. Weather was great good times were had.

Keystone was beautiful this evening. Folks were catching sandbass on the banks with light gear while striper, catfish and gar were being caught here and there further out. It looked like a lot of fish were hitting top water on the outer edies of current. I spent some time trying to get my new line broken in and fighting wind knots. Still a good day on the water and it seems like about 50+ had the same idea.

Got the girls all dressed up to go out. Wasn't sure about the blue when I got it but it is growing on me.

Got out to Jackson park this evening to enjoy a little fishing and the cool evening air with the family. The fish were not cooperating but we got some sun and excercise. Plenty of locals out fishing these ponds tonight looks like they are getting a good amount of pressure.
