WTBA SOUTH CENTRAL REGION TRAINING CAMP
This weekend, Relentless Martial Arts is proud to welcome Muay Thai instructors and practitioners from across the region to Tulsa for the World Thai Boxing Association South Central Region Training Camp.
Muay Thai has been part of the Tulsa martial arts community for more than 40 years, and we’re honored to be part of that tradition.
Relentless has been hosting WTBA events for many years, and for approximately the past five years, we’ve been proud to host this regional training camp—a gathering that brings together instructors and students from Oklahoma, Arkansas, Nebraska and beyond.
This weekend is about training, learning, sharing knowledge and continuing the tradition of Muay Thai.
We offer Muay Thai training at Relentless throughout the year, with weekly classes for both adults and young students. Our students also have opportunities to participate in amateur scrimmages, putting their training into practice in a controlled environment.
We’re grateful to everyone traveling to Tulsa this weekend to train with us, and especially to the instructors who continue to share their knowledge with the next generation.
Welcome to Tulsa. Welcome to Relentless. Let’s train.

Personal Influence:
"My Choices Matter."
Responsibility starts when a young person realizes that their actions directly shape their future. They move from "things happen to me"to "I can influence what happens next."
Martial arts teaches accountability through every single choice made on and off the mat.
From day one, we urge our students to take responsibility. "Whose job is it to bring your belt?" Students quickly learn there is one answer here. The student.
Their growth and skill is up to them. Just like life. What they get is what they earn.
The consequence of not doing pushups is you can't make your required pushups during tests, with everyone watching. It's about learning their actions affect their lives.
What is one positive habit your child has taken ownership of recently?

Belonging & Significance: "I Am Needed."
Every child needs to know that they matter and that their contributions make a difference. When youth feel genuinely significant to a group, they thrive.
We make sure every single student knows they have a vital role on our mats.
One of the ways we insure this is we allow the kids to lead the direction of the class. From the senior belt at the time, leading the warmups to calling for lineup. Kids decide the first activity and everyone must vote. They know there are three options: the two student selected options and pushups! Not voting equals a vote for push ups! One vote for push-ups is always a majority! Red belts and above lead other students in drills and students are often called to demonstrate what they are working on. In class, every student is mentioned by name. We need their energy to make the class the best it can be.
Tag a teammate who always brings positive energy to class! 🥋👇

Building Capability is building better heroes
True confidence doesn’t come from hearing praise. It comes from overcoming real obstacles. When young people realize they are capable of facing tough challenges, their resilience skyrockets. In our classes, we give students the tools to test their limits safely.
How many pushups can you do? Our students start in different spots but five is our minimum. As we work through our drills and ranks, our pushups go up and up and up! They forget how much they improve until they see their friends outside martial arts do pushups. Most of our students score highly on the Presidential Fitness Test after a year or so with us. How do you encourage capability at home? Let us know below! 👇

Swiped from Joshua Gillow. This is my goal. Make good people better at their lives through skills and attributes developed through the martial arts. "If your martial art only works when you are jumped in a back alley, how good is your martial art?" THE.

Sometimes you hit the pads for speed. Sometimes it's for power. Sometimes it's to prepare for the toughest event in your life. That could be a match, a knock down drag out in a back alley or a cancer diagnosis in you or your best friend. Sometimes you just hit the pads for you. And the joy of moving. Do something for a good reason today. Now if possible.

🎉 Happy Birthday to our CMO — Chief Morale Officer! 🎉
The heart behind the school, the keeper of the chaos, the person who makes sure our people know they’re loved, appreciated, and occasionally subjected to an embarrassing photo. 😂
Relentless Martial Arts is so much more than what happens on the mats. It’s the people, the families, the friendships, the laughs, and the community we’ve built together.
We’re pretty lucky to have this one at the heart of it all. ❤️
Happy Birthday Mrs. Bennett! We love you!

Huge thank you to the E Man and Simo for helping us spread the word about martial arts at Lanier Elementary!🥋

We’d love to bring after-school martial arts programs directly to more elementary schools in the Tulsa area—giving kids a fun, active way to build confidence, discipline, focus, and some serious life skills along the way.

Does your school offer after-school enrichment programs? We’d love to talk!Send us a message or have your school administration reach out to Relentless Martial Arts to see how we can bring martial arts to your students.

Let’s build better heroes—one school at a time. 💪🥋

When you want to make a point but also believe in maintaining appropriate personal boundaries.
G**o Brandon has found the solution. 🪓😂
And no, this isn’t on a loop. He really just kept hitting the target until I got tired of recording.
