When Mr. Daniels asked us to continue the Jack Daniels Mile tradition, we were incredibly honored. We met with him for breakfast over the course of many months for him to share his knowledge and records of the event from the 40 years since he started the race. He kept meticulous records of all race details on pen and paper which he then passed along to us. I spent some time updating the records from paper to digital so I could track and update them going forward. Attached are a few of the records he kept track of - finisher and age group records data. From the first race in 1986 with 51 finishers to 2026 with 409 finishers. Thank you to Mr. Daniels for establishing such an important event for the Tunkhannock community and thank you to all who have run the event throughout the years!
