I started this page in hopes of getting enough fans of the IJ champions to make info on these guns a so here it is!
I have found that there are a few people like my self that have been passed down the old family shotgun only to clean it up and research it and find out that there is next to NO information on IVER JOHNSON MODEL 36 CHAMPION SHOTGUNS or a ''fan forum'' for the OL' IJ's so we can gather and talk of these great guns! and really its for all IJ'S the Hercules sxs' and even the s***t and trap guns

this is my first purchase with my C&R FFL. i want to turn this into a trap gun for my wife. This will end up a work of art when im done!

Trinity's barrel just came back and it looks amazing! The job that R & D custom barrel (americhoke.com) did is second to none. I recommend them highly!!

my first round of trap with my granddads IJ i went 18 for 25! I finished with a smile and a dislocated shoulder

my granddad gave me this gun in oct/2011. he said the last shot was fired in 1968 and then put in the closet. after some research, I'm thinking this gun was made around the 1919 era,but because there is no known source for IJ serial number records its a guess(within 10 yrs1909-1919 thanks to W.E. ''BILL'' GOFORTH). This is my journey to restore my grandpa's old champion in to a every day trap gun and family heirloom
It's back and it's beautiful! I'm putting it together now! Pics in a few hrs-
got the call from the gunsmith that my granddads IJ is on its way back!
I received my C&R FFL A few weeks ago and my first project i bought with it is a Iver Johnson 20ga bbl and a IJ receiver. so as soon as i get my granddads IJ back and that project is officially done, this will be my next build~ pictures to come
