🖤💛 Sponsor Walk Day! 💛🖤

You might have seen us sporting our black and yellow today as the Cascade OHSET Team hit the streets for our annual SPONSOR WALK! 🐴⭐️

At Cascade OHSET, we believe this team is about SO much more than just horses and competing. We’re not just focused on building better riders. We’re focused on growing and improving their skills outside the arena too!

Today, our athletes stepped outside their comfort zones, walked into local businesses, shook hands, introduced themselves and learned how to ask for sponsorships!

We are so proud of them because here’s the thing… asking someone for money isn’t easy! It takes courage, confidence, communication skills, and a willingness to hear the word NO. And those are LIFE SKILLS!

We want our athletes to understand that opportunities don’t just get handed to you. You have to be willing to WORK for them! Learning how to represent yourself, speak professionally, handle rejection and advocate for something you believe in are lessons that will carry them far beyond the arena.

👏 A HUGE THANK YOU TO OUR COMMUNITY!

To every business that opened its doors, took a few minutes to listen to our athletes, offered words of encouragement, or generously donated to our team — THANK YOU!

Your support does so much more than help fund a season. You’re investing in young athletes, their opportunities, their confidence and their futures.

And to our athletes — we are PROUD of you! Whether you walked into that first business with confidence or had to work up the courage to say hello, you showed up, put in the effort, and represented your team. THAT matters! 💛

🐴 WANT TO SUPPORT CASCADE OHSET?

We’re welcoming sponsors for our upcoming season! Whether you’re a local business, family, or individual, every contribution helps provide opportunities for our athletes to learn, grow, and compete.

📩 Send us a message if you’re interested in becoming a sponsor!

GO CASCADE! 🖤💛🐴

🐴💛 Help our Cascade OHSET athletes get this season started!

After a successful year, our Cascade High School Equestrian Team is preparing for the 2026–2027 season—and we’re asking our community to be part of it!

These athletes put in hours of work caring for their horses, practicing, and supporting their teammates. Along the way, they’re learning responsibility, leadership, perseverance, and what it means to represent their school with pride.

We’re organizing a local community sponsorship "walk" so our athletes can visit local businesses, introduce themselves, share about the team, and ask for support. They’ll also be available to pick up donations. If you see them out, we hope you’ll take a moment to meet the young people behind the program! 🐎

Your support helps cover facility fees, stalls, equipment, and other team expenses as our riders prepare for three district meets in Albany, with hopes of advancing to State and the Pacific Northwest Invitational Championship.

🤝 Business sponsorships start at $250, with recognition opportunities throughout the season.
💛 Individuals and families can give any amount but can be a Team Supporter at $100.
🎁 In-kind contributions are welcome, too!

Want our athletes to stop by your business, arrange a donation pickup, or send you our sponsorship information? Message this page or email [email protected].

Can’t donate this year? Sharing this post helps us reach someone who can.

Thank you to our returning sponsors and everyone considering supporting us for the first time. You help make this season possible for our athletes!

Welcome to Cascade OHSET! 🖤💛

This season (so far), we’re welcoming 17 competing athletes, 2 amazing grooms, and the families supporting them. To our new athletes and families—we’re glad you’re here!

There is a lot to learn when you join OHSET. Ask questions, try something new, and give yourself room to improve. You don’t have to have everything figured out to be part of this team.

We want our athletes to feel supported in the arena and outside of it. We’ll celebrate the strong rides, work through the tough ones, and recognize the progress that comes from practice. Sometimes a win is a placing. Sometimes it’s finishing a pattern, trying an unfamiliar event, or doing something you couldn’t do last week.

To our returning athletes, thank you for helping our newest teammates feel included. Learn their names. Offer a hand. Cheer for their progress. Those everyday choices help build our team.

And to our families and friends, thank you for the time, hauling, early mornings, and encouragement you give. You are part of this program, too.

Here’s to a season of learning, good horsemanship, hard work, and showing up for each other.

One team. Every rider. 🖤💛

Happy Birthday to our Cascade OHSET Head Coach, Hailey! 🎉💖🐴

Hailey, you give our athletes so much more than instruction with their horses. You build them up, speak life into them, you push and encourage them to not only see their potential but you help them succeed in it and challenge them to reach all their goals.

You love the Lord, have a heart of gold, and show kindness and respect to those around you. Your love for your animals and your dedication to Cascade OHSET athletes, but your outreach to other youth in our community and their parents, show in everything you do. Even when the days are hard, your perseverance and drive keep you moving forward.

You are a wife, a daughter, and a step-in mom and auntie to so many but us lucky ones call you Coach! We are thankful for the time, love, and heart you pour into our team.

We hope today you hear just how loved and appreciated you are. Happy Birthday, Coach Hailey! 💖

OHSET offers so many different events for athletes to compete in, and for some families, figuring out which events are the right fit is still part of the process.

This informational video is a great way to see a sampling of the events available, watch elements of each event in action, and get a better idea of what each one involves.

Whether you’re brand new to OHSET or still deciding what you want to compete in this season, we hope this gives you a helpful look at all the opportunities available.

Enjoy this FAST PACED informational video brought to you by the Cascade OHSET Team!

Our next meeting will be:

September 30 at 6:30 p.m.
Cascade High School Library

This meeting is for athletes and families who are interested in moving forward with the team. We will answer questions, review important season details, discuss registration and next steps, and begin confirming our team.

These meetings are important for both parents and athletes to attend and participate in. We have made changes from last year, and there is a lot of information everyone needs to hear. OHSET involves the entire family, so having both athletes and parents informed from the beginning will help the season run smoothly.

Wondering what events athletes can participate in through OHSET?

We put together a video showing a sampling of the many events available throughout the season. From performance and gaming to cattle, team events, in-hand classes and more, there really is something for so many different riders and horses.

Enjoy the humor of the speed!

Whether you are brand new to OHSET, thinking about joining, or coming back for another season, this is a great way to get a better look at what competition can include.
