Unity Park Playground Announcement - Update
The New Tube Slide & Pour-in-Place Project down here at Unity Park is starting, so there will be some temporary fencing installed today surrounding the work area that will include the small and large play structure areas, blue slide and supernova. The swings and rock climbing area are open and may still be used during construction. Looking forward to seeing the improvements, it should be about two weeks or so....

The Reptile Nook will be on-hand before the movie for an animal demonstration!
6:30-7pm. Meet the animals up close.
7-7:30pm. Educational program with Reptile Nook. Animals walked around the crowd.

YOUTH SWIM TEAM ASSISTANT COACH - Bluefish Swim Team
Montague Parks & Recreation Department
The Montague Parks & Recreation Department is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and reliable individual for an assistant coaching position for the Bluefish Swim Team. This is a part-time/seasonal position (mid-October through mid-March); approx. 8-10 hrs./week. Certification in basic lifeguarding, and previous coaching experience preferred.

2026 FALL YOUTH SOCCER - We still have spots on some of our teams.....

SQ**RT SOCCER – Ages 4-6
Our Sq**rt Soccer program focuses on the individual skills of each child. We follow the National Alliance for Youth Sports Start Smart curriculum that focuses on building self-esteem and a step-by-step learning approach. Intra-program mini-games are also played. SHINGUARDS ARE REQUIRED - NO CLEATS
When: Saturdays; September 19 – October 24
10:00am – 11:00am
Fee: Montague Residents – $45, *Non Residents – $55
*Non-residents may contact MPRD starting August 31 for available spots (not guaranteed).
Maximum Enrollment: Dependent upon the number of volunteer coaches.
+ Parents will be requested to play an active role in the program
(easy to follow instructions included).

TRAVEL SOCCER PROGRAM -
At this level, players participate on a travel team and play games with other teams in the Tri-County Youth Recreation League. Games are held Saturday mornings. Practices & Home games are played at Highland Park in Millers Falls. All teams are co-ed.

- PeeWee Travel Team – Grades 1 & 2 (Games will be 5 v 5)
Fees: Montague Residents – $60, *Non Residents – $70
Enrollment Minimum (per team): 7, Enrollment Maximum: 10

- Junior Travel Team – Grades 3 & 4 (Games will be 7 v 7)
Fees: Montague Residents – $65, *Non Residents – $75
Enrollment Minimum (per team): 9, Enrollment Maximum: 14

- Senior Travel Team – Grades 5 & 6 (Games will be 7 v 7)
Fees: Montague Residents – $70, *Non Residents – $80
Enrollment Minimum (per team): 9, Enrollment Maximum: 14

+Practices & Games - Start date, practice nights and times at coach’s discretion.
+Games – Saturday mornings, times differ; September 12 – October 31
SHINGUARDS ARE REQUIRED - SOCCER CLEATS ARE ENCOURAGED
