My first class back at is this Sunday @2 PM CST!! I am so excited to return, but in full honesty, I’m feeling a little overwhelmed with the transition from summer life back to school life. This class will focus on being open to change, new beginnings, and how to transition into them with grace and peace. Would love to see you there in person or virtually!! Sign up with the link in my bio.

Last yoga session with the girls of the Atlanta Ballet summer intensive. I’ve loved teaching these girls! It was so hot and humid today, we squeezed 9 girls into a tiny common room for a little A/C. REALLY shared the space tonight, but I’m so thankful we could!! Yoga is for anyone, anywhere!!

Session 2 of the Atlanta Ballet’s summer intensive, and these girls keep going!! Even when our usual yoga room is reserved so we have to yoga out in the Georgia heat. They are amazing, and I’m learning so much from this experience. So happy I can bring some yoga practice into their busy days here!!

ā€œIt’s not about being good at something. It’s about being good to yourself.ā€ A quote I’m leaning on this week to remind myself it’s ok to make mistakes and try new things. Maybe your new thing is sleeping 8 hours a night, dancing in the park, or hot yoga… which you can do easily for free in the 95 degree heat of Tennessee… whatever you do, stay hydrated!!

I can’t believe today was my 40th private with .for.dancers !! I’ve made it to level 3 pilates mat and reformer through this journey and wow. It’s hard, but I’ve found a new love for pilates. I feel so much stronger especially when I’m dancing. I could not have asked for a better mentor and pilates instructor!!

New moves: Pilates!! A huge thank you to .for.dancers and for an awesome pilates reformer session today!! If I’ve learned anything from this year’s pilates journey so far… it’s so hard but feels SO good!! Pilates is a low impact style of movement that can help tone your body, increase flexibility, and so much more. I highly recommend .for.dancers especially if you’re a dancer looking for a way to cross-train!! Joseph Pilates knew what he was talking about.

What is vinyasa yoga? I love vinyasa yoga flows because they feel like a dance. I always describe vinyasa as ā€œlinking our breath with our movementā€ when I teach. Why is breath so important? We wouldn’t be alive without it! It’s easier to release the tension in our bodies when we can breathe it out in each asana (or pose). If you think vinyasa yoga might be the style for you, message me! I’d love to chat more about it or teach some privates (in person if you’re in Nashville the next couple weeks or virtually all summer!)
