What a weekend for The Academy! 💪🏆

At the MSYS Summer National @ the Beach in Pensacola, 3 of our 6 teams brought home 1st Place, all finishing with undefeated records! 🌴🏀

Back in Birmingham, our 7th Grade Boys also took home 1st Place at the Board of Wars Tournament! 🏆

We’re incredibly proud of our players, coaches, and families for all the hard work and dedication. The growth continues, and we’re just getting started.

🏀 Welcome Coach Bill Reese! 🏀

Holy Spirit Catholic School is excited to announce the hiring of Bill Reese as our new Men's Varsity Basketball Head Coach!

Coach Reese brings a strong background in player development, team leadership, and program building. As the founder of B&B Development Academy, he has spent years training and mentoring athletes throughout West Alabama while helping them grow both on and off the court. He also served as an assistant coach and skills development trainer at Chattahoochee Valley Community College, where he helped develop collegiate basketball players and contributed to all aspects of the program.

Coach Reese is passionate about teaching the fundamentals of the game, developing basketball IQ, and building a culture of discipline, accountability, and teamwork.

Please join us in welcoming Coach Reese to the Holy Spirit family. We are excited for the future of Saints Basketball under his leadership!

This past weekend in Gatlinburg, we faced some very tough competition. While we didn’t achieve all of the results we were hoping for, our teams continued to improve and gain valuable experience.

Our 8th-grade girls had an outstanding tournament, finishing 2nd out of 13 teams, and our 9th-grade girls also earned a 2nd-place finish. Our boys competed hard against strong opponents and are motivated to get back in the gym and continue developing their game.

The Rocky Top Tournament was a tremendous experience for all of our athletes and provided great opportunities for growth and competition.

To top it off, our 4th-grade team brought home a championship, taking 1st place at the All In Tournament in Tuscaloosa!
