The Tuscaloosa County Semiquincentennial Quilt caught everyone by surprise today as we walked into our monthly planning meeting. We all ended up stopping, looking, and talking about all the squares. This beautiful quilt is on display at the Synergic Building in Northport.

Our organization exists to engage citizens in educational programs related to Tuscaloosa County Natural Resources. We would not be able to provide these programs without community partners and business sponsors. We will be highlighting those sponsors and partners on our page as well as displaying their signs on our "people mover trailers." We hope all of our followers will check out their businesses and organizations.

Today, we are highlighting the National Wild Turkey Foundation. Bev Leigh III, longtime member of the TCNRPC, works closely with the NWTF and finds ways to support both organizations. Recently, the NWTF has sponsored a handicap accessible people-moving-trailer that will be used on our land tours. This will be a great addition ensuring our programs are accessible to all citizens. Thank you for being a long time supporter of the TCNRPC!

We hope your family enjoys this long weekend together, but take a moment to remember we are the home of the FREE because of the BRAVE!

We honor all our soldiers and their families today.

May we never take freedom for granted or remember what it costs. Today we honor all those men and women who died protecting our freedom. We send our respect to their families who love them.
