Tuscaloosa Area High School Sports Today

Yesterday, our cheerleaders returned from four days at UCA Camp in Auburn, Alabama. They learned new material for their upcoming football, competition and basketball seasons.

They received blue superior ribbons for all of their performances each night at camp and for the final championship day.

Our team had three UCA All-Americans, a high honor for which they had to try out for. They are eligible to attend Varsity specials events throughout the year. Congratulations to:

Alyssa Faircloth, a former TCHS and Holy Sprit star, threw a no-hitter for Mississippi State vs Oregon at the Eugene Regional in NCAA Tournament. See link below ⬇️

Over the weekend, the class of 2026 said their "see ya laters" to the halls of Holy Spirit.

Twenty-two student athletes received their diplomas.

Saints Athletics is proud of each of them! We will miss seeing you on our fields and courts of play. You will forever be remembered for your contributions and hard work.

The Saints will host Greene County tomorrow night at 7:00 pm for the spring football game.

Come out for some Friday night fun and support the football game!

This Thursday, May 14th, new softball players interested in playing during the 2027 season should attend the interest meeting at 2:30 pm.

All returning players do not need to attend.

Information will be sent home with interested players to share with their parents.

The public booster club meeting from last week was rescheduled for tomorrow at 6:00 pm in the HS library.

Due to severe weather Holy Spirit will dismiss at 12pm on Wednesday, May 6. All activities for this afternoon and evening have been canceled.

Tonight, the booster club hosted the spring sports banquet with over 300 guests celebrating softball, baseball, soccer, track and field, swimming and tennis.

The Tommy Kenneson Award was presented to Jud Jones for his endless display of volunteerism through the years at Holy Spirit.
