Kid Power's Anti-Bullying tip of the week:
BE COOL... STAY IN CONTROL
It's natural to react to a bully's remarks and actions emotionally, but that's exactly the reaction he or she is trying to get. Bullies want to have power over you. Stay calm and cool; recognize and understand this bully does not deserve your attention.
If you agree please share... Not just on Facebook, but in person with your children as well. Help them to understand how to take away power from a bully.
This Week's Anti-Bullying Tip:
BE POWERFUL...BE BULLY-PROOF!
You are what you LOOK like; you are what you SOUND like. This doesn't mean how tall or short you are or whether you are blond or brunette, it's how you stand, walk and talk to others. YOU decide whether you want to look meek and weak, in other words- "a bully-magnet", or STRONG AND CONFIDENT - BULLY-PROOF! Walk tall and hold your head high!
Have a great week!
Anti-Bullying Tip #1
BELIEVE IN YOURSELF!
Being involved in confidence building activities (both mental and physical) gives people of any age the strength to respond to a bully. When do you feel your strongest? Joining a class, club or team sport is a great way to discover new friendships and feel great about yourself! And Martial Arts is a great activity to help build verbal and self-defense skills to feel safe in any situation - not to mention stay in shape.
