Sleep: the unsung hero of racing at altitude.

There are few mountain races with as much lore as Colorado's Leadville Trail 100. You never go below 9,100 ft and gains over 14,500 ft of elevation throughout, including a summit at over 12,500 ft at mile 50. 🫪

One of the cruxes for a race like Leadville is preparing your body for racing at altitude. COROS athlete Cole Paton has dialed in his recipe for acclimatization, and it revolves around prioritizing a training tool you may find surprising: sleep. Swipe to take a look at how prioritizing longer, higher quality sleep while staying in Leadville has increased Cole’s HRV and decreased his resting HR, preparing him for the challenging race to come.

Catch Cole at the start line for the Leadville 100 this weekend (this time without drop bars) and peep the link below to learn more about how to adjust to racing at altitude.

Like he never left. 😤

At his first race back from achilles surgery Jakob Ingebrigtsen defended his 5000m title in Birmingham in style.

With the crowd erupting in disbelief, Jakob made his move in the closing stages with an exhilarating final 100m, breaking away with a time of 13:15.29. We're still not over it, so take a look inside the data from his signature Edition PACE 4.

Truly Fearless, welcome back Jakob. 🏆

Forged in fire. 🔥

135 miles with temperatures maxing out at 117°F...Badwater 135 is potentially the most savage Ultra Marathon in the states, and Max Jolliffe just set a new course record.🥇

To beat the heat of the Badwater, your training must be forged in fire; Death Valley takes no prisoners. Max came to the valley with months of heat training logged with sights set on a podium.

Taking the lead with just 10 miles to go, Max set a sweaty CR of 20:53:46.

Check the link below to see get a look at the heat training Max endured ahead of Badwater. 🌡️
