Scorpions Soccer Team

The Scorpions FC would like your support this Saturday September 12. We will be having a car wash at Dairy Queen from 11 to 4. Donations are accepted. Thank you and have a safe and happy weekend.

The Scorpion Soccer Team is looking to add 4-6 players to our roster. We are looking for dedicated, disciplined, athletes that are willing to work hard to achieve their goals. In our system, winning is not the goal, it is the result of hard work and dedication. You must be under 18 years of age by July 31, 2015. This fall season we will be participating in the Eagle Pass Competitive league, compete in tournaments throughout Texas and possible join one of the adult local soccer leagues. If you are interested you can call 8304698736 or show up to the high school soccer fields in the evenings 630-800 during week and you can catch us during practice.

The Scorpion's raffle sale was a great success. Thank you to all that purchased a raffle ticket to support our team. Due to an unforeseen schedule change, we had to change the date of the drawing from Saturday February 14, 2015 to Monday February 16, 2015 at 5 pm. We will post a short video of the drawing to show the winner on Monday evening. That also allows anyone that might still be interested in purchasing a raffle ticket the opportunity to buy one. The price is $10 each raffle ticket and the prize is 4 tickets to the Mexico vs USA soccer game in San Antonio Tx on April 15, 2015. As most of you already know, the game is sold out and this might be the last opportunity to get tickets to the game. Congratulations to the Del Rio Scorpions. They are the 2014 South Texas Cup Western District U16 Champions!

Del Rio was well represented as all three Del Rio teams qualified to play for the South Texas Cup next weekend. Good job San Felipe Del Rio U15, San Felipe Del Rio U16 Scorpions and Del Rio United U15.

Day one is over of the 2014 South Texas Cup District Tournament. The Scorpions won all three games against formidable teams. They advance to the semifinals tomorrow morning. Good job Scorpions! Represent Del Rio! Bring home the District Championship!
