Current freshman Jayden Jackson looks for a pin during a match last season. Jayden started wrestling last season and immediately found success, as she finished her first year with a winning record. Jayden is also a cheerleader, and a member of the schools track team.

Wrestling sign-ups will be September 30th & October 14th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Claymont Stadium.

You can also checkout girls wrestling every Friday at the Claymont Stadium from 3:30 to 4:30. This is open to all girls in grades K-12.

Freshman Kylie Virtue was an OAC junior high state placer last season, and will bring in experience as only a freshman. Kylie is also a standout softball player off the mat

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Robert "Bob" Mckinney, Jr. Bob has been a major supporter of our program since day one. Everytime there was a fundraiser, Bob would always graciously donate. If Bob won, he always donated his winnings back to our program. Bob always sponsored our end of the year banquet every year as well. Bob's support went beyond just dontations, he was also a regular in the front row at our local matches.

Bob not only supported our program, but many other programs as well. Bob was just a huge fan of local wrestling in general. Bob will be missed, and we will always be grateful for the support he gave our program. 🙏

Our 5:00 am workouts started out with a BANG! The 13 girls who showed up beat the previous record of 9 girls! We will be back at it again next Wednesday at 5:00 am!

We would like to send our thoughts and prayers out to the Dover Wrestling Community for their loss. 🙏

Unfortunately, earlier this year, four of our wrestlers also suffered the tragic loss of their older sister Dahlia. Below is information that their mother Ashley Conley shared that may help others in need. Thank you Ashley for allowing us to share this information on pur page.

Last season Laiken Warner #7 became Claymont's first girl to place at the OHSAA State Wrestling Tournament as a freshman. Ava Henry #10 became Claymont's first middle school girl to reach the OAC State Wrestling Finals last season. On Saturday, both wrestlers represented Claymont's high school volleyball team at the annual Volley for a Cure volleyball match. Volley for a Cure helps raise money for individuals battling cancer.
