NEW MEMBERS ONLY OPEN MAT — STARTING THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 17 NOON-1:00PM

We’re adding more mat time for our members.
Every Thursday from 12:00–1:00 PM, the academy will host a members-only open mat designed to give you time to train, drill, experiment, and continue developing your own Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu style.

Use the hour to sharpen your game, revisit techniques, work specific positions, or simply get more rounds in.

We’re excited to keep creating more opportunities for our members to grow.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Fundamentals — taught as a system, not a collection of random techniques.
In our Fundamentals class, we take high-level techniques taught by instructors such as Master Wendell Alexander and Alex Sodré and organize them into connected sequences and flows.
The goal is simple: help students understand what comes next.
In this sequence, we connect:
Guard pull → guard pass → turtle reaction → reestablish side control → knee on belly → mount → arm choke.
One partner works the bottom sequence while the other works the top sequence, allowing both students to learn and improve at the same time.
This is how we teach Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at Nova União Team Kriebel Ohio—building strong fundamentals, understanding positions, and learning how techniques connect into a complete game.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge, your love for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and for teaching us more about Nova Uniao Brazilian Jiu-jitsu , our history, and where we come from.

Tonight our kids had an opportunity to train with Master Wendell Alexander | Mestre faixa Coral 🔴⚪️ de jiujitsu one of the founders of our team Nova Uniao International 🇺🇸🇨🇦🇧🇷 .

Master Wendell began training at the age of 5 and now 55 years later is sharing his knowledge and passion of with the kids at our academy!

It’s a special week at TKO.
Wendell Alexander | Mestre faixa Coral 🔴⚪️ de jiujitsu , one of the founders of Nova União, is here visiting and training with us for the next four days.
Tonight, he came straight from the airport to the academy and stepped onto the mat to teach our evening class.
His passion for jiu-jitsu, the team, and sharing his knowledge is immediately felt.
We’re incredibly fortunate to have this kind of history, experience, and leadership on our mats—and we’re looking forward to everything we’ll learn together this week.

We are incredibly honored to welcome Nova União co-founder Master Wendell Alexander to TKO Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu from August 20–23, 2026!
This will be a special four-day weekend filled with training, history, seminars, and time together as a team. Current TKO members will have several free opportunities to train with Master Wendell, along with special kids and adult seminars.
