It's Thank a Superintendent Day, and at Chambers Bay that means celebrating Eric Johnson, our Director of Agronomy, and the greenkeepers and grounds crew who work alongside him.

Long before the first group tees off, this team is already out managing our fescue, tending greens, and getting every inch of the course ready — rain or shine, early mornings and long days. It's a level of care that doesn't always get seen, but it's felt in every round.

Eric's been leading this operation for over a decade, through a U.S. Open and multiple USGA championships. Today, we want to say thank you to him and the whole crew — and we'd love for you to join us.

As summer starts to fade at Chambers Bay, our sights are already set on next year — and it's a big one!

From July 19-24, 2027, we'll host the 79th U.S. Junior Amateur Championship, bringing the country's top junior golfers to the same course that's tested Jordan Spieth, Peter Uihlein, and the world's best.

It's the fifth United States Golf Association - USGA championship in Chambers Bay's short history, and a reminder that this fescue doesn't just host great golf — it produces future champions.
