This week:
- Thank you to all the cadets and families that joined us for our end of year celebration and potluck. Much thanks to Ms Ewaskowitz for producing the senior spotlights and the year-in-review video.
- We gave one final salute to our seniors and drill finished up all their color guards except for graduation.
- The uniform turn-in deadline has passed (unless you have a color guard or other special event - you should know who you are). Please ensure your cleaned uniform is returned to the JROTC classroom as soon as possible. Instructions were sent separately to ParentVUE/StudentVUE. Uniforms returned that have not been cleaned will incur a $25 cleaning fee per your cadet contract.
On the calendar:
- WiLD Summer Leadership Camp will be held 25-29 May for the 12 cadets selected to attend.
- Varsity JLAB cadets will compete at the National Championships in Washington DC 12-16 June.

As the final notes of the 2025-2026 academic year begin to fade, looking back at our time in AFJROTC feels like watching a video of growth, and genuine c***e...

This week:
- Cadets knocked out a Chap 8 test in LE and presented their "Future Aircraft Design" projects.
- We hope you are reading this after celebrating with us at our end of year potluck. If you were not there, we're sorry we missed you.
On the calendar:
The uniform turn-in deadline has passed (unless you have a color guard or other special event - you should know who you are). Friday 5/1 newsletter info!
This week:
- Cadets received their ribbons earned throughout the year and received all the certificates mentioned but not presented at the awards ceremony last week.
- Cadets were out Wed & Thu in support the spring dance concerts at the HCPA. It's a simple gesture, but cadets provide door greeters and assist with directions for those attending the dance concerts.
- There was a pop-up service opportunity at Chapparal Elementary, assisting with set-up for their spring sports day. Cadets are always happy to jump in and lend a hand, especially for our district schools.
- Sadly, we learned this week that Feed the Child is closing their Chandler facility and consolidating operations eastward. We are sad to lose a great service opportunity for our cadets and will be on the hunt for new opportunies to fill this new gap in our portfolio. If you know of a charity in need of hands on a monthly or bi-monthly basis where cadets can "be in charge" of organizing themselves and executing the mission, please let us know and we'll check it out.

- 1 May: Leadership applications for next year are due.
- 4 May, 3-5pm: Feed the Children community service event.
- 5 May: Uniform turn-in deadline, unless you have a color guard or other special event. Instructions were sent separately to ParentVUE/StudentVUE.
- 8 May, 6-8pm: Higley Media Center, End of Year Potluck and Celebration. Sign-up Genius went to ParentVUE/StudentVUE.
