I watch this moment happen in almost every first lesson, and it never gets old. Your kid's thrashing around, barely horizontal, gasping between arm cycles-and I'm thinking, *this is it*. This is the moment they stop believing they can't do it.

The videos make it look graceful. Real life is messy. And messy is exactly what tells me your child's body is figuring it out, their brain is problem-solving, their confidence is shifting. I celebrate those 3-5 seconds and 3-6 feet like they just crossed an ocean-because in their mind, they did.

The hardest part of coaching is actually...saying goodbye to my swimmers 😪

My job is to teach them how to swim, get safe in the water, and get them out of floaties.
My job is to get their confidence up and move along to the next sport or activity in their life 🥰
I am proud that I get the job done and fast. But, I want to slow time down and swim with them forever...I've been thinking maybe I should draaaaaag these swims out...😂
Just joking... I want these little ones safe as possible and fast. And we get it done ✔️!

It's hard to say goodbye when the summer ends and at times, for longer than just the summer🥺

I love each family I swim with. I appreciate each one of you for sharing this special time of you're lives, with me.
I'm always here. A text or call away. We will always be family 🥰

I hope I have made a positive difference in you're lives. I hope they love swim forever and it brings them joyful childhood memories.
The smell of sunblock and chlorine takes me to such a happy place inside...and I wish that for each student I have swam with 🌞

Summer isn't over...but we are preparing for a new school year and new sports. We are about to get busy again folks!
My own girls will be starting Freshman and 6th grade! We are excited for the new year 📚🍎📆

When I tell you this sweet girl HATED me last summer 😂😂😂

Eventually...coachie wins them over 🥰 They start to get it. They start to use all the tools and toys I bring. They start to trust me and themselves. It's a beautiful things to watch.

I have so many different swimmers this year. Babies and little bitty buddies, that are just ready this year. The parents are aware their baby is really ready to learn some life saving skills. They are so small, precious and innocent. I dont take that lightly. I am honored to be you're coach ❤️

I also love my older group that is really understanding how to swim. Understanding their bodies more and how to move, control their breath, kicks and arms. It's fun to show them new strokes like the breaststroke, breaststroke arms and frog kicks. They start to USE Lizzy, my best friend and kickboard 😂. They start to use and swim with our "animal friends" and the noodle boat becomes a great drill for specific arms, legs, and breathing. And we can't forget our cute "belly bottoms"/"mermaid kicks". Could be the cutest thing I see kids learn! IYKYK.

I am just so thankful. I know swim is time consuming and can be expensive. But, it has to be done. Like potty training or reading...we just have to teach them 🥰

I want to say thank you to all my NEW families this year...and to my ORIGINALS...you are everything and I will always be you're coach and friend. You continue to swim with me year after year and pass my name along to everyone in all parts of Arizona. Like EVERYWHERE. I will be forever grateful.

I love my job. I love you! Just keep swimming 🧜‍♀️🧜‍♀️🧜‍♀️
