We are closing up the shop early today at 2pm.
We had a crazy day here yesterday, and followed it with volunteering into the evening hours. We are running on fumes, and need some rest.

We will be back at 8am tomorrow ♥️
We will post updates on new additions from storage, and crystals when they are ready for purchase!

Our first day, and you guys blew us away! 🥲

We were NOT expecting so many people to show up today, and we are so extremely grateful to each and every person that did. ♥️

5 hrs, 13k+ steps, # # # transactions, and we are ready for a nap 😂

We will be open everyday this week from 8am-5pm. We will announce weekend hours later in the week.

We will also be bringing in more items throughout the week from our storage unit. We will also be selling all our crystals. Those will be for sale later in the week, and will announce here when the time comes 🤍

We wanted to send out an invitation to our awesome community to help out with an important cause. Did you know that there’s only one warming shelter for our unhoused population in Clarksville?? It’s located in the gym at Madison Street United Methodist Church. There are so many ways that you can help….meal sponsorships, donations, helping with the laundry….most importantly, they need volunteers to work different shifts throughout the afternoon, evening, and overnight. Clarksville's temporary warming shelter brings people in from the cold and needs volunteers Clarksville Area Urban Ministries and Madison Street Church teamed up to save lives at Clarksville's only shelter.

It’s with a heavy heart that we are writing to let the community know that our little Christmas Miracle did not come true.

The interested buyer of the business was not accepted by the owners of the building, and they have chosen a business that is going in another direction. We are truly saddened by this decision.

In the next few weeks we will be liquidating cafe equipment, furniture (indoor/outdoor), plants, and much more. We will post with updates on our little yard sales as we enter into the New Year.

In a few days we will post letters from the owners to the community. We wanted to let everyone know as soon as possible.

We are endlessly grateful to everyone who has walked through the doors of Sanctuary on Main, but today, we want to shine a special light on the incredible people behind the bar who stayed with us until the very end. Their dedication, talent, and heart have made this place truly special.

Did you know your order was made by a rocket scientist? That’s right!! Ben has a degree in Aerospace Engineering, and his lattes are out of this world. He is our Master of Menus and has come up with many of the recipes we use everyday. If it’s got lavender in it, then Ben probably created it. Ben has been the anchor of our barista team for almost a year and a half, and we are beyond grateful to have his calming, grounding presence in the cafe

The infallible Steph: an incredibly talented musician, gifted barista, coworker and friend, and all around great person. They are the most relaxed representation of chaos imaginable, and their quacks will be missed behind bar. The team wouldn’t be the same without them.

Jules has presence anywere they go, from the stage to behind bar, and their whimsy-goth vibes are unmatched. Hearing Jules sing behind bar, and being able to see all of their wonderful performances has been amazing.

Our baby barista that’s not so baby, Andre was thrown in the deep end on his 3rd day and proved that his experience and knowledge as a barista is exceptional. He’s been a dominant personality behind bar since his first day, and his favorite hobby is almost undoubtedly yappin. What a fantastic addition to the team he has been.

December 20th ♥️

We want to start this off by filling in some gaps. We are truly hoping for a Christmas Miracle to happen, but we are still a few days away from finding out. This Christmas Miracle would keep Sanctuary alive, but under new ownership in the New Year.

As we patiently wait all we can say, “no news is good news”. Once we do know, we will be screaming it from the rooftops.

Until we receive word on this Christmas Miracle. We are moving forward with our original plan of closing up shop on December 20th for the Holiday Season/closing of Sanctuary with original ownership.

We are closing early this year for multiple reasons. The main one being is that management just needs rest. This year has been exhausting, and nail biting. With the news of our closure it has only gotten worse. We have held space for everyone to work through their emotions, and have walked away in tears of frustration of our own.

We have been yelled at, accused of keeping information, accused of not knowing how hard the closure of Sanctuary is, and constantly battling misinformation that people are spreading.

From the jump we have been open and honest about the situation, and now we are asking for kindness. Please remember that at the end of the day we are people too. We are grieving too. We are trying to move forward into the holiday season with a touch less depression.

Now knowing our truth we invite the community to come join us so we can to fill up the space with love over the next week. Come grab a holiday drink, a yoga class, a wellness appointment, or even just come sit in the space and share a smile.

We would love to rewrite the ending of our story with Sanctuary, and have it filled with compassion and love. ♥️🎄
