And thats a wrap! Brendan has finished his season as a 16 year old and has now aged out of quarter midget racing.
Our whole family is so proud of Brendan and what he has accomplished these last 4 years. Brendan caught on quickly when he started novice training at 12. Brendan always worked hard where it counted and worked hard to balance family, school and racing. We remember when Brendan was a novice and he was watching the animal and world formula cars racing and he stated he could “never go that fast”. Here we are 4 years later and he drives these two classes and does it well. We have always been proud of Brendan’s sportsmanship and focus on how he could improve each race and not always about winning or being up on the podium. Some of our proudest moments and some of Brendan’s biggest smiles came from not just from being up on the podium but improved his lap times, or made that hard past but finished towards the back of the pack or even last.

Rough go in the World Formula heat, Brendan could not miss a crash in front of him and went for a tumble. Brendan is OK, just a mild headache. The car got pretty tore up, bent almost every bar in the car, bent the front axle and a shock. The right front got pushed back 8 inches. Car is already fixed and ready for the B main.

Brendan was at his Dad's this weekend so the BRM hired gun program was in full effect with Dempsey Graham finishing 2nd in Heavy World Formula and Charlee's Racing getting 3rd in Senior Animal!

Region 9 series race at WQMA: The highlight of the weekend us us was Brendan really getting comfortable in the Heavy World Formula, He drove from 6th to 5th in the C main to transfer to the B, then drove from 10th to 6th in the B main, just missing out on the A main! Brendan bounced back from 2 flips in his Heavy Animal heat race on Saturday and ran from the back of the B main up to 6th, again just missing the transfer spot. Next up on our race calender is a trip north of the border in July for the Region 9 race in Langley BC.
