So what’s it cost to go to the finals? There is no entry fee, so what’s left?

Originally we were to stay off site, which would have been around $4,000. Going to Vegas for 2 weeks is an incredibly long time.

Misc testing to meet nfr committee requirements: $1,000

We are given a room by the host hotel but I’m not sure many girls stayed there themselves as it was 30ish min away from the stalls and most prefer to be closer to the horses. Hotel costs for me and staff was around $5,000.

Social media help, videos, pics, and barn help… around $11,000

Haven’t gotten the bill from my vet yet. 🙈😅 but whatever that is was worth it.

My tack sets were around $15k

Clothes were free. (big thanks to Ranch Dressn and thank you to all of you for voting! That is decided by popular vote & committee vote, but we sure gave it our best try!) Tanks jackets were $600 😆🙈

Fuel for 2 rigs out there was around $3k

Flights for everyone $2500
Rental car for 2 weeks $1400

Misc body work $500

Food in Vegas… 🙈 $4,000 (this does include some business dinners) food is expensive in Vegas… even a coffee is like $15bucks

NFR Tickets… we have to purchase them if we want them. $10,000

Misc tickets to luncheons, etc for my family/friends $1000

Fine: $250 for wearing wrong shoes in grand entry. Lol

I bet valet was around $1000 🙈
Truly also had a large vet bill that’s not included.

Surely I missed some things but this is the gist of it. I am not totaling that up. 💀💀💀

Adios earned $245,000 at the finals.

(I’m also sure I’ll do fairly good on social media but I’ll have to update that when I know at the end of the month.)

It was also worth it for me to have the videographer because I have a stallion and these are things I can use for all time once it’s captured. (Same reason I buy all the photos.)

Also, of the $141,000 I made in the regular season… I don’t expect to have any profit from that.

Although the RHEA and Adios on the stallion side make more money because I was on the road. (So those businesses will turn a profit even though the riding horses side did not.)

I also have 6 horses in training… because I’m not home to ride them.

You could obviously do it on way more of a budget but whew. 😅
