The St. James Swim Team is saddened by the passing of Legendary Coach Frank Busch.

We were honored to welcome Coach Busch to The St. James this summer. He spent time with our coaching staff, led a free clinic for swimmers from across the DMV, and ended the day with a Q&A session. We will always cherish the time we shared with him and the opportunity he gave our swimmers to learn from him.

Thank you, Coach Busch, for all you gave to the swimming community and for the lives you touched along the way. Our thoughts are with your family, friends, and everyone who knew you.

Rest in peace. 💙

🏊🇲🇽 Congratulations to our Head Coach Jorge Iga on his performance at the 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games in Santo Domingo.

Jorge closed the Games with 5 medals — 3 golds and 2 silvers — along with 3 Central American relay records and 1 Mexican national record in the 4x200 freestyle relay.

Jorge now adds up to 19 medals in his Central American Games career. A remarkable testament to his consistency and dedication at the highest level of the sport.

We are incredibly proud to have Jorge leading our swimming program at The St. James Performance Academy. His commitment to excellence in and out of the pool is exactly what we are building here.

Congratulations Coach Jorge Iga . The best is still ahead.

🏊‍♂️Welcome to The St. James Performance Academy, Ohlsson Skaret

Ohlsson is an IM swimmer who recently moved back to the US from Paraguay where he began his swimming journey under Olympian Benjamin Hockin OLY and Coach Jorge Lobo. We are excited to continue the work he has built, help him reach his goals, and guide him through his college recruiting journey.

Welcome to your best, Ohlsson 🏊‍♂️🇵🇾🇺🇸🏅
