Finishing a 3000sf pad tonight for a compaction test tomorrow. They got deer on their propert right off kings field. Kind of crazy but there’s a lot of undeveloped wetland between there and becks lake and the river ain’t to far neither

This is some rip rap we used to fill in a holler leading to a pond. About $700 a load. One load filled in a 55’ long area very well height wise. Height will go down with all the run off from their neighbors in time to be closer with the grade of the land but it’s still gonna be a little bit higher. It’s a lot of rock so it’s a little higher than needed, might could of stretched it out 70’ depending on your situation. Either way, lot better than an eroding ditch that needs to get weedeated every few weeks to look clean.

Fences are most weak in the middle from wind especially in lengths over 100’. Hurricane Sally taught me that. I like to use a couple of 6by4 posts spread out in the middle set 3’ deep with a 100lbs of concrete to strengthen it. This is a fence I built in Jay to keep a couple Australian shepherds segregated. However on the other side they had me build a metal fence. So he’d just cut thru their front yard to go to other side where he could be seen. I’ll never forget that dog. I watched him for 7 days. if he wasn’t barking at the cows he was studying me until the 3 kids got home from school. About the time I forgot about him as I’m pulling out, there he is in my way barking at the other neighbors horses. This dog was living the dream.
