How each RV is prepped and covered before winter decides what shape it's in when the next season arrives.

An RV that sits through fall and winter faces humidity, temperature swings, UV exposure, rain, and snow. Left unprotected, metal corrodes, seals dry out, paint fades, and moisture builds up inside. For an operation storing many units at once, one small problem repeats across the whole lot and adds up fast. Our latest blog walks through the full fall storage checklist: how to prep each unit, choose the right storage space, handle lot logistics, and cover every RV to come out of the off-season factory-fresh.

Finished tractors, combines, and sprayers can wait months to sell, and every week they wait chips away at condition and margin.

When covered space runs short, inventory ends up in the yard where sun fades paint and moisture starts corrosion on bare metal. Indoor storage is easier but not risk-free, since dust settles, humidity swings bring condensation, and units get scuffed as they move around a busy building. Our latest blog covers why farm equipment ends up outside, where buildings fall short, and how a fitted cover keeps finished machines factory-fresh through storage, staging, and transit.

Wind, hail, and salt each damage equipment a different way. Hurricane and hail season brings all three at once, and a single event can take out dozens of units.

High winds tear loose covers away, hail dents panels and cracks coatings, and salt spray keeps corroding metal for weeks after the sky clears. Across a lot of boats, aircraft, or staged wind turbine components, that adds up to repair costs, insurance claims, and units pulled out of service. Our latest blog covers how storms damage high-value assets, what to look for in an extreme-weather cover, and how to keep every unit protected through the season.

Corrosion is one of the most expensive problems in heavy equipment today. It weakens metal, voids warranties, and quietly lowers the value of an asset while it sits in storage or moves across the country.

Bare metal, moisture, and oxygen are all it takes to start rust, and salt, chemicals, and road spray only speed it up. The two highest-risk periods are the ones you'd expect: months parked outdoors and miles on an open trailer. Our latest blog breaks down why heavy equipment corrodes, the four types of corrosion to watch for, and how surface prep, coatings, and VCI covers work together to keep metal protected.

Large equipment represents a major investment, and without a real storage plan it can lose performance, appearance, and service life faster than you'd expect.

Indoors or out, the threats are the same. Corrosion on exposed metal, UV breaking down paint and seals, dust in sensitive systems, and condensation forming inside covers. Even climate-controlled storage doesn't fully close the gap, which is why fit and moisture control still matter once equipment is parked.

Our latest blog covers how to store large machinery safely in both settings, what to prioritize in a facility, and how custom-fit VCI covers keep assets ready for service. Read now at https://hubs.ly/Q04xN_My0

Every piece of equipment a company owns spends part of its life in storage. How you handle that downtime decides how long the asset lasts and how ready it is when you need it again.

Moisture leads to corrosion, UV breaks down rubber and paint, dust works into moving parts, and pests find anything left uncovered. Each one shortens equipment life and raises maintenance costs, and an asset that wasn't prepped right may fail its first inspection back in service. Our latest blog walks through a storage plan that holds up: inventory each asset, match it to the right location, prep it well, and cover it for the long term.

Most freight fits a routine. It sits on a pallet, slides into a crate, and travels under a standard cover. Oversized and oddly shaped equipment breaks that routine.

Wind turbine components, gantry crane arms, and custom machinery have protruding brackets, angled surfaces, and exposed sensors that a generic tarp can't follow. Every gap it leaves is where water, dust, and corrosion start, and on a single move that damage can wipe out a project's margin. Our latest blog covers how to protect oversized equipment through transit and long-term storage, what to look for in a cover, and how a custom fit closes the gaps standard packing supplies leave open.

CNC machines leave the plant in perfect condition. Keeping them that way through transit and storage is the hard part.

On an open trailer or in a yard, a machine faces rain, road spray, humidity swings, and airborne grit, and every one of those attacks the surfaces that make it worth buying. A thin film of rust on a precision surface is enough to throw off the accuracy your customer paid for, and damage in transit lands on you, not the carrier, in rejected shipments and warranty disputes. Our latest blog covers how to prep a machine for shipping, protect the tooling that travels with it, and choose a VCI-lined cover that keeps moisture and debris out for the whole journey.

Tarps, shrink wrap, wood crating. Every common way to protect equipment in storage and transit shares the same blind spot: none of them protect the metal itself.

A tarp traps moisture against the surface. Shrink wrap collects condensation inside the film. Wood gives off acids that corrode the metal it surrounds. Each is a barrier at best, and the cheaper upfront price tends to show back up later as corrosion repair, warranty claims, and rework. Our latest blog breaks down how Transhield custom covers compare to each method, and why VCI additives that slow corrosion by up to 95% change the math. Read now: https://hubs.ly/Q04tJQLx0

Relocating a factory means taking every machine off the floor, moving it, and putting it back into service. That journey is where most of the damage risk lives.

On an open trailer, production equipment meets road salt, debris, rain, and temperature swings. Corrosion can set into bare metal before it even reaches the new plant. The risk doesn't end on arrival. A new line is rarely ready the day equipment shows up, so machines sit and wait, and that holding period carries its own corrosion risk. Our latest blog covers how to protect machinery through both the move and the wait, so every asset reaches the new line in the same condition it left the old one. Read now: https://hubs.ly/Q04tJ_gX0
