It was good to be back at the track after being off several weeks, we made gains all day in practice but missed on the qualifying adjustments. After putting up the 16th fastest time and knowing we had a big hole to crawl out of we made more changes before the race and once the green flag waived Dj went to work. He put his Chevrolet on the top of the race track and quickly picked up several spots but the car still wasn’t where he wanted it. With the scheduled caution coming on lap 45 he decided to save his tires and not abuse the car until then so he could pit and get more adjustments. After the short caution he restarted 17th and drove to 10th before the 10 min break on lap 90 to set up a 35 lap shootout. After the restart Dj continued his march forward and while battling for 7th contact from another car resulted in Dj getting spun and cutting down the left side tires.
