You’re the dependable one.

The person who finds a way, keeps things moving, and says, “I’ve got it”—even when you’re running on empty.

But being capable doesn’t make your needs disappear.

At The Connection Effect, private coaching gives you space to hear yourself again: what matters, what needs to change, and what you’re ready to stop carrying.

ROOT is a three-month coaching experience with weekly private sessions to help you build clarity, boundaries, and more intentional choices.

You don’t need to arrive with everything figured out.

Who is a wellness provider you’re always happy to recommend?

At The Connection Effect, I believe meaningful support includes knowing who to turn to when you need care beyond what one person can offer.

I’m gathering ideas, suggestions, and recommendations for The Connection Effect’s Exclusive Client Resource Providers Wellness Program—helping clients connect with trusted providers who support their overall well-being.

I’d love your input:

• What services would you want access to? Think massage, counseling, nutrition support, yoga, movement, acupuncture, or other wellness resources.
• Who do you trust—and why? Who takes time to listen, makes you feel comfortable, and provides thoughtful care?
• What would make these resources more accessible or helpful to you?

Recommendations in Springfield and the surrounding communities are welcome, along with virtual and universal options.

Tag a provider, share their website, or tell me about an experience that made a difference. If you’re a wellness provider, please introduce yourself and share what you offer!

Your recommendations can help someone else find the support they’ve been looking for. 💛

Rooted Before the Rush is open.

You may not need a complete reinvention. You may just need enough space to hear yourself again.

I'm opening eight private coaching spots through The Connection Effect:

ONE DECISION: $497
A Q4 Clarity Intensive for one significant personal, professional, relational, or business decision.

ONE SEASON: $675
A Connection Reset with three private coaching sessions across 90 days.

Each path has four spots.
Doors close Sunday at 8:00 p.m. Central, or sooner if all eight are reserved.

Review both paths and choose the support that fits at https://www.connectioneffect.com/rooted-before-the-rush

It’s easy to make a plan when you’re imagining a week where nothing goes wrong.

You’ll have time.
You’ll have energy.
Nobody will need anything unexpected.

Then the week arrives with other ideas.

You miss a step, fall behind, and start wondering why you can’t follow through.

Before making that a judgment about yourself, take a closer look at the plan.

Does the goal still matter to you?

Do you know exactly what to do next?

Have you accounted for the time and energy your life already requires?

Is there room to rest—and a way to return after a missed day?

Have you decided when to check in or ask for support?

Those questions can help you see where an adjustment would make a difference.

Try giving one goal three versions: a minimum for demanding weeks, a standard for ordinary weeks, and a stretch for weeks with extra room.

That gives you a way to keep practicing without expecting every week to look the same.

This is part of what we work through in goal-setting coaching: understanding what matters, choosing practical steps, and building accountability that leaves room for real life.

Have you ever typed “I can’t” and then added an entire paragraph explaining why?

You’re invited somewhere, asked for a favor, or handed one more responsibility—and suddenly you’re explaining your schedule, your energy, and everyone else who needs something from you.

Sometimes more context helps. Sometimes you’re hoping that if you explain it well enough, nobody will be disappointed.

Maybe one of these feels familiar:

A no:
Someone asks you to volunteer again when your week is already full.
“Thank you for thinking of me. I can’t take this one on.”

A need:
You’ve handled dinner, the school messages, and tomorrow’s logistics, and you need help.
“I need you to handle bedtime tonight. I need some time to myself.”

A change of plan:
You agreed to dinner with a friend, but now realize you’ve overcommitted.
“I need to reschedule tonight. I’m sorry for the change. Could we find another day?”

A limit:
You’re asked to squeeze another project into an already packed workweek.
“I can take this on if we move another deadline. Which task should take priority?”

A request for time:
A family member wants an answer before you’ve had a chance to think.
“I need to check what’s realistic for me. I’ll get back to you tomorrow.”

You can adapt these examples to your relationships and circumstances.

You can be considerate, acknowledge the impact, and still stand by your answer. You don’t have to share every private detail to make a need understandable.

Where do you notice yourself over-explaining most: work, family, friendship, or in your own head?

Complete the sentence: I do not need a perfect explanation to honor ____.

You can share a word below or message me privately if you’d rather keep the conversation there.

“It’ll be faster if I just do it myself.”

Sometimes, it is.

Answer the email. Fix the document. Send the invoice.

But when I say that about everything, I eventually become the place where everything stops.

That’s hard to acknowledge as a founder. I built this business. I care about the people, the quality, and the outcome.

But caring doesn’t mean I have to carry every part of it.

When every decision needs your attention, growth starts to feel like more work piled onto an already full plate.

Before adding another person or system, ask:

Are my priorities clear, or is everything urgent?

Have I documented what someone else needs to know?

Does this work need my expertise, or am I just uncomfortable letting go?

What am I carrying that no longer fits my capacity?

Delegation takes clarity, communication, trust, and room for someone else to take ownership. It starts with understanding why the work keeps coming back to you.

Recognizing that your business depends too heavily on you gives you somewhere to begin.

You deserve to build something that can grow without asking you to disappear inside it.
