A patrol officer doesn’t recognize that something is wrong.
A scene isn’t documented correctly.
Critical evidence is never collected.
The death is assumed to be a drowning because the body was found in water.
And once that first assumption takes hold, the entire case can start moving in the wrong direction.
That is one of the biggest problems with aquatic cases: the gaps don’t exist in just one discipline.
They can start with dispatch and first responders and continue through investigators, medical personnel, and prosecution.
That’s exactly why my team and I believe learning the concepts alone isn’t enough.
With the Complete AADHI Experience, we spend four days taking the investigation from recognition to application.
You learn how to identify the issues that can be missed in aquatic abuse, death, and homicide cases.
Then you work through scene reconstruction, case analysis, practical exercises, and realistic investigative scenarios designed to make you use that knowledge.
The Complete AADHI Experience will take place in Austin, Texas, November 16–19, 2026.
This is a four-day, in-person training that brings the full Level I and Level II experience together.
