I’m thrilled to be the guest speaker at the UUCA this Sunday.

“This Sunday at UUCA, we are honored to welcome Shonali Banerjee as our guest speaker.

Shonali is the founder of Singing Resistance ATL, a powerful community movement that brings people together through song as a practice of courage, healing, and collective voice. Her work lives at the intersection of music, justice, and embodiment—and it changes the room.

In this service, The Divine Feminine Enables Our Powerful Voices, Shonali invites us into a deeper connection with the Divine Feminine as a source of courage, conviction, and truth-telling. This is not abstract. It is lived, embodied, and urgently needed.

We are also thrilled to welcome ConunDrums as our special musical guests. This dynamic collective of women draws on the rich musical traditions of West Africa, bringing high-energy, interactive drumming rooted in the Mandingue lineage and the teachings of master djembefola Mamady Keita. Since 2001, their mission has been to build community through rhythm—creating experiences that are joyful, powerful, and deeply connecting.

If you have been feeling the weight of this moment—personally or collectively—this is a space to reconnect with your voice and remember that it matters.

Join us this Sunday.”

What an absolutely glorious first full moon of 2026 co-creating a sacred song & sound immersion with Benny Silva at Intown Retreat. We were so blessed to fill the space, to rest together, to welcome the New Year, to bask in the full moon light.

It was truly a gift to have so many folks present, and I hope you’ll forgive me when I say that my highlight was the presence of my 17 year old son & his 2 friends, kids I’ve known for years. To introduce them to restorative yoga & sacred rest through song & sound made it a notable evening I’ll never forget.

I also would like to share how exciting it is to experiment, improvise, and explore with my voice. I’ve been gently nudging myself to open up more and it feels like I’m breaking through into some new territory. Grateful to Benny for the incredible accompaniment.

What a wild ride… living into these potentialities… I’m grateful for all of the alignments which allow moments like these to unfold.

Mark your calendars for the next monthly offering on February 7, 6-7:30p. I am elated Lisa Jordan will accompany me next month. Stand by. I’ll post the registration link when it’s out.

Blessings to you all as we enter this new year.

Check my public teaching schedule & come practice with me. We’ll take a 10 week dive into the Yamas & Niyamas starting Jan 12. 💥✨💥
